Stats and abilities

Health: 616-2049 Health regen: 7.84 – 16.3 No Resource Movement speed: 335 Range: 175 (melee) Attack damage: 57.9 – 134 Attack speed: 0.625 (+ 0 - 23.1%) Armor: 27.5 – 78.5 Magic resist: 32.1 – 53.4

(Passive) Treasures Of The Rift: Wario constantly seeks out treasure, and often manages to find things that others may overlook.

Wario’s presence creates treasure sites throughout the map. Every 60 seconds, if there is no treasure site on the map, another will spawn. The first site of the game always appears in Wario’s Jungle, with any additional sites spawning in the enemy’s. By standing at a treasure site and channeling for 2 seconds, Wario unearths the treasure. Uncovering a treasure instantly restores 15% of Wario’s max HP and grants +20% movement speed for 3 seconds. In addition, every treasure grants Wario a permanent +5 Armor and +3 MR, capping at ten treasures (50 Armor, 30 MR)

Treasure sites appear on everyone’s minimap, but enemies of Wario can not tell if a site has been excavated unless they gain sight to it or another site spawns.

(Q) Munch: Wario enhances his next auto attack by biting down on a target, dealing 30/55/80/105/130 (+40% AD) damage with 10% life steal. In addition, targets hit are infused with one Essence of Garlic for five seconds.

If this attack would give a target its third Essence of Garlic, then 20-60% (based on level, extra 10% per level) of the attack is dealt as true damage.

Range: 150 Cooldown: 7/6/5/4/3

(W) Ground Pound: Wario slams the ground with his abundant buttocks, creating a small shockwave around himself. Any enemies caught in the shockwave are knocked up for one second, are slowed by 30% for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds, and gain one Essence of Garlic.

If this attack would give a target its third Essence of Garlic, then the attack gains +50% damage and knockup increases to 1.5 seconds vs that target

Damage: 50/ 95/ 140/ 185/ 230 (+80% Bonus AD) Radius: 175 Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8

(E) Shoulder Barge: Wario buckles down and charges forward into a sprint, becoming immune to and cleansing himself of slows for the duration. While sprinting, Wario gains 20% move speed that increases to 40% over the course of three seconds.

After sprinting for at least one second, Wario may recast this ability to shove forward shoulder-first, converting the sprint into a short dash. Hitting an enemy with this dash will carry them with Wario to the end of the dash and stun them for 1 second.

Movement Speed Duration: 3 Seconds Dash Range: 325 Dash Damage: 30/50/70/90/110 (+50% Bonus AD) Cooldown: 16/ 15/ 14/ 13/ 12

(R) Wario Waft: Wario forces the enemies to face the wind with such force that he propels himself upwards into the air. Enemies suffer damage and are knocked away from Wario. In addition, a cloud of stench remains on the field for 3 seconds following the attack. Enemies who enter the field suffer a 20/25/30% slow for as long as they remain in the cloud.

Damage: 200/ 300/ 400 (+70% Bonus AD) Radius: 325 Cooldown: 120/110/100

Design Goals: Wario is most known for two things. The Wario-Ware games, and his old Wario-Land games of old. When making this kit I hoped to gain a feel from both of these series.

Wario Land inspired moves like his Shoulder Barge or Ground Pound, but most noticeably inspired his passive. I feel like if a player is playing as Wario, then the kit should make them feel a greedy desire to walk into places they don’t belong. To design a Wario concept that is content to sit on his side of the map without constantly checking to see when he can go and sneak something that isn’t his from the other team’s side is not, in my opinion, a proper Wario concept.

But Wario is also known for his series of Microgames and thus a wario that isn't gimmicky and full of sub-games is just as much not-Wario. The passive is, in itself, a subgame of sorts, but I felt like that wasn’t enough. The stack mechanic on his W and E are meant to represent the quick chains of commands that the Warioware games require. These moves get a lot of power from triggering their stacks, and you have to make sure you’re using the correct move to get the effect you need in a situation.

Overview: As a character, Wario is a meant to be played as a tanky jungler who strives to shove enemies around while comboing his stack mechanic to maximize his damage. His favorite place to be is in the middle of things, charging into a teamfight or out of position enemy from the sides in order to annoy and disrupt his foes long enough for his teammates to win the fight.

His passive allows him to gain additional bulk over other champions by delving into the opponents side of the map. The more often he does this, the easier it is to do. This creates a playstyle where one must balance their greed of maxing stacks with practicality: Can I afford to go over the river? Where's their team atm? Do I have enough time if they've warded the site? How much longer can I spend until I miss the next spawn time? Once he grabs the treasure, he gains a speed boost to help him escape with the goods. the health regen, combined with his Q, help keep Wario in good condition while jungling.

His Q gives Wario sustain to help him survive the jungle environment and allowing him to last longer in a fight.

His W gives him a small way to disrupt fights with some CC and helps keep an enemy close enough to attack.

His Q and W feature an interchanging stack mechanic that give his moves power in different ways. If Wario is dueling a tank, then he's going to want to try and cap his stacks with a Q, for example. Where-as if Wario is in a crowd of low-armor units, he might want to use his W instead in order to deal more damage.

His E gives him a way to enter fights, whether that be an in-lane gank or charging stubbornly into the middle of a team fight. Properly timing and aiming his dash allows him to push an enemy out of position while putting them in range for his other powers.

His ult disrupts tight formations and sends everybody away from him, which is a reasonable response to someone like Wario. If positioned well, breaks up a team and prevents them from regrouping in a timely manner, meaning a properly executed ult can be a massive boon to any team fight.

Lore: Many think of the Mushroom Kingdom’s red-capped and overall-ed protector as a fun-loving and somewhat gentle soul. Wario disagrees.

During his childhood, Wario constantly suffered a multitude of possibly well-intentioned yet dangerous and embarrassing pranks at the hands of Mario. This and jealousy would combine to set the stage for an intense rivalry that would transform Wario into the greedy treasure-hunting game-making anti-hero he is today, escalating into Wario capturing Mario’s kingdom of Mario-land and magically transforming it into a kingdom of his own. He was eventually foiled and cast out of Mario’s castle poor and battered. Wario lost much in his conquest, but gained something that would further define him: A goal in life. Wario didn’t need to steal Mario’s riches. He just needed to be richer. After all, Mario’s stupid castle would mean nothing if Wario could build one so large that it put his rival to shame. With this aspiration in mind, he began a career of intense treasure hunting in an attempt to show the world who the best overall wearer really was.

Over the years, the rivalry between Mario and Wario has slowly eased. These days, Wario likes to spend his time on two tasks: formulating get-rich-quick schemes with his odd cast of friends, and participating in Mario’s various party games/sports tournaments which he always loses (not because the opponents are better than him, but because absolutely everybody but him and Waluigi are cheating).

I like how you kitted out wario from smash and his games but have some questions. Q:Om nom nom.(you might want to include essence of garlic in his passive description) W:do not need mental image. E:does running into people while sprinting cause anything? R:yep there's wario. seems to be more designed around lategame with most abilities scaling off bonus ad but a great homage to him.
