Concept: Accomplishments and Completion Points
It seems as though most League of Legends players often stick to their main play-style. Some players try to stay within their bubble where it's safe and easy for them. Most players don't like to try new things, where it could mean playing a different champion, playing a different role, playing on a different map, or playing a different game mode. I'm sure most of us can say our go to game session starts from "Play" > PvP > Classic > Summoner's Rift 5v5 > then on to normal or ranked. From there we like to pick our standard role and champion. Then, we play a game that averages 30-45 minutes. Complete the game. Repeat. What if there was a way to break the monotony? What if Riot Games implemented something that would help players enjoy more of the game than the standard 5v5?
An idea I had was something called Accomplishments. The player can click on a tab labeled "Accomplishments" and look at the mass variety of tasks that one could do playing anything on League of Legends. The list contains tasks sorting from the very easy like "Complete Tutorial" to something difficult like "Obtain the Challenger Ranking". These tasks could be map specific, so you would not have to play just Summoner's Rift. They could be champion specific, so you don't become a meta slave.
Why would someone want to do these? Well, that's where Completion Points come in. Each task that you complete rewards you a number of points which you can trade in to acquire champion skins, chromas, ward skins, and summoner icons that are exclusive only to the Completion Points shop. Each task rewards points based on the difficulty of that task. So, "Get 20 Cs in a single game on Twisted Treeline" would give 10 points. "Get a Pentakill using Bard" would give 2000 points. To make sure players don't get lazy and simply buy the the completion points and get the reward, the points can only be earned; not bought.
I feel like something like this would allow players to enjoy more of what Riot Games has worked hard on. Sure, most of us like to stay in our bubble, but I'm sure the rewards would overpower that mentality. C'mon. Who wouldn't want Star Guardian Urgot?? Lemme know what you people think!
