New Champ Concept- Auld Moore

I just played a game with Riot Bearicade, and it got me thinking about some of my old ideas for champs. I like to write but am terrible at art, so I often put it aside because people like to be visual. Anyway, with Riot in mind I've decided to finally put my ideas out here. My first being Auld Moore, a melee fighter with a more European style fighting scheme. The idea of him in my head is an armored man with a two handed sword (bastard sword), with his abilities all being based around European fighting styles. Well, lets get started with the first draft.

Q - Pummel Bash Auld Moore grips the blade of his sword to strike his opponent with the pummel of his sword with the next basic attack, dealing damage and reducing the armor of his opponent by a set amount range one his basic attack is increased with Pummel Bash is active.

This Q is from some of the later fighting styles when armor was too thick for a sword to drive through it, so they would use their sword as a bludgeoning weapon that could dent armor and break/bruise bones.

W - Sweeping Swordplay Auld Moore Side steps an attack while sweeping his blade along the side, and follows up with a brief knock forward to the opponent effectively swapping places with him. If no opponent is caught, Auld leaps forward instead and cool-down is reduced by 50%.

This ability is weird, because it's what gave me the concept for him, and what I have the hardest time figuring out. I like the idea because it's historically accurate in evading an opponent, and is a really cool control ability. My concern is that it's very similar to that of fiora's w, as well as Urgot's r. I feel it's a good concept and is well needed for a melee champ to have a gap closer.

E - A Knight's Defense

Passive - Gains Armor and Magic Resist for every second he is in combat up to a cap

Auld enters a defensive stance that slows enemies that attack him

I decided on this on the fly, as I hadn't put much thought into his e. This made sense to me because as a fighter gets accustomed to his opponent, the less effective the opponents abilities are. The Active also made sense to me because knights would always be looking to tie up an enemies movements so they could attack more effectively.

R - Honor

Auld strikes the ground, marking it as a battle arena, while in the arena Auld can lung to any enemy camp and has increased damage

For this I thought about the traditional fighting arenas and the knights charging toward each other, This gives him a nice mix of gap closing, and conditional damage for outplays.

Passive - advanced tactics

Every third basic attack or ability that is used on him, Auld can dash a small distance in any direction.

My goal for this passive and many of Auld's abilities is movement. Being able to engage or disengage while controlling the movement of his opponent.

Conclusion -

I know Riot has their own team that crates concepts for new champs, and this is really just a place to express ideas, but I would like feedback on this concept to see what's missing and what could be done to improve it.
