Dane’s kit was almost a success, however, it needed some revising. Before we move onto the lore of Dane, and his main story-line, here is Dane’s new and improved kit!:

Passive - Extrasensory Metal - When Dane is attacked with 2 spells or attacks in rapid succession, he is granted a boost of +24%(+37% at level 11) speed and ignores unit collision, for 1.5 seconds. Being hit with 2 more spells or attacks refreshes Extrasensory Metal. "The curses you bleed, they will not shackle me..."

Q - Coarse - Dane spins around in his current location once, and ends with a jab in a pointed direction. The spin does 65/130/180/260/350 Physical Damage to enemies within the perimeter, and 5% less damage is dealt for every enemy minion inside. The jab at the end of the rotation does 80/95/110/120/145 (+50% AD) Physical Damage. Upon each upgrade, Dane will acquire another spin: Level 1 - One spin(65 Damage), Jab (80 Damage) Level 2 - Two spins (65 Damage each), Jab (95 Damage) Level 3 - Three spins (60 Damage each), Jab (110 Damage) Level 4 - Four spins, the fourth one, Dane moves forward slightly (65 Damage each), Jab (120 Damage) Level 5 - Five spins, the last 2, Dane moves forward slightly (70 Damage each), Jab (145 Damage) Cool-down; 13/11.5/10/8/5 seconds. "I yonder with sharp spirits, and even sharper blades..."

W - Radiating Edge - Dane empowers the energy inside his Sun-Sword, and his next three auto attacks within 5 seconds will burn enemies over time for 40/65/90/110/160 Ability Damage and can stack. Dane's 'Coarse' will also deal an additional +25% Ability Damage on his spins. Cool-down; 15/14/12/10.5/9 Seconds. "Valiant beams of hope bestows you, Demon!.."

**E **- Potent - (Passive: Minions, Monsters, and enemy champions that Dane walks through with Extrasensory Metal will be coated in Dark Infusion.) Active: Dane lets out a war call, fearing minions, monsters, and enemy champions inflicted with his Dark Infusion away from him. Minions and monsters are feared for 1 second, and champions are feared for 1.5 seconds. Cool-down; 16/15.5/13.5/12/11 seconds. "I am not one of you, but you are one of us..."

R - Eye Of The Isle - Dane breaches a rift door that outcasts into the Shadow Realm. Violent ghosts and demons sprawl out of the sky at its base point, and will haunt, and attack enemy champions for 7 seconds. The realm spawns 4 Demons that Dane has breached with his light, and each enemy champion can be targeted by a maximum of 1 each. The Demons each deal 150/175/210 (+35% AP) to enemies they target. Dane will heal himself and allies nearby by 75% of the damage he deals after the 7 seconds are up. Cool-down; 145-90 seconds. "Melaka! Haunn! Vitali! Shaydo!"

** Dane’s Story: “The Cobalt’s Last Journey.”**

We were traveling mercenaries, and soldiers for hire that traveled all across the land of Runeterra, squandering anything for reward, or taking action into anyones army who hired us.

We were: “The Cobalt.”

We had just finished our bearings in the great region of Demacia, where we fought off many rebelistic spies. The times for both Demacia and Noxus were grim, and the two seemed to be at a stalemate that could snap at any moment, and mercenaries like me and my mates were highly valuable in the midst of war.

We had received documentation to return to our unit quarters in Ionia, but it was far too dangerous to travel through the outskirts of Noxus and take our leave by ship from their tides.

There were a pair crew ships set up for us near the edges of Demacia, an add-on prize for our doings of justice there, and we’d set forth in the morning to reach Ionia from the long route. We’d cast our sails to soar past Freljord, and eventually Piltover, until we had completely bordered the entire upper half of the land, to get back to the island of Ionia. The Cobalt had camped out in the streets, with the sheltering of some gratitudinous market runners, who lent us their blankets, warm food, and their tarps for the night.

I was woken up by the sound of panic in the streets, I shifted myself up onto my knees to peak out over the counter of the market stand. People, both adults and children, running amuck, as blazes of unleashed fire spread slowly around homes and trees. “Fire!” A woman near our shelter screamed, alerting the other soldiers.

Without words, our unit quickly gathered our weapons and needs, and were up on our feet. Our commanding private, Andreas, signaled us to remain evasive, and silent. We blended in as best with the fleeing pedestrians as we could, before realizing what was happening. The flames were not an accident, these streets were under attack.

“We board now.” Andreas said, without further explanation, he and those closest to him hastened straight down an ally. He could only be talking about boarding our voyage boats, but it was to far into the night to be doing something so daring.

As Andreas commanded, we boarded our vessels, I was lucky enough to be flocked with Andreas himself. Without earlier coordination, the other ship would quickly need to assign a captain in order to move forward successfully.

“We stop for no visiting boats, our soldiers back home have warned us about other fleet ships in these times. We have a direct route and that is final.” Andreas warned us before fully setting sail.

As our ship left the dock, and several moments into being on the water, men began heading the bunkers to get more rest. I did the same, seeing as Andreas already assigned enough men to help him voyage through our slumbers.

I peered off over the room to see if there were any looser spaces to lie down for a short while, and the most open space was near a hoard of barrels and boxes in the back corner. As I began to crouch down into my spot, the soldier next to me began to introduce himself, “Marshall.” he began oddly. I reached out to shake his hand, “Dane.” I replied humbly, as bazzar as I found the man.
I set down my rolled up parchment and blade to my side, as I prepared for sleep.

“What do you keep recorded with that?” Marshall budded in once again. I slyly looked to my writings, and told him off. “Just things I need to remember.” I said. I think Marshall began to take the hint that I was due for some sleep, and rolled into his comfortable position as well.

The cabin fell quiet as even dreamt of returning home for the first time in a great while.

“Haul!” A booming, and recognizable voice yelled from above the cabin. The yell seemed to not alert anyone else as I was the only one that sat up. I sat silent for a moment, then another loud noise followed the call. It sounded like metal searing together, and infusing their surfaces. A loud screech followed after the metal made sounding noise. My throat fell into my gut, and I instinctively clutched my belongings. I threw my parchment into my belt, and grasped my blade.

I stood up, creeping slowly to the cabin stairs, holding my weapon with both hands, taking one step every four or five seconds to keep my evasiveness.

One…

More screeching wailed over my head.

Two…

I began to hear things hitting the waters below.

Three…

Men started to run rapidly overhead, screaming curses. Four…

Thud. A man fell down the stairs toward me. He was ruckaged and mangled, a missing limb or two from this man were what caught my eye immediately. My body fell blue and cold, as I was clearly in danger.

I kicked the corpse out of my path, still daring enough to see what was happening above. I perched around the side of the deck, only to see glimmering gusts of air swoosh around. The radiated a menaceful green glow, and seemed to outline a body of a man. No, a woman.

I watched as the green cloud of terror swooped down from the skies and plundered soldier by soldier into the ocean below. To my left, I saw with my very eyes, Andreas by picked up out of the air as if a giant hand palmed him, and be swept into the tides.

In a moments notice, I was spotted. My sword was not strong enough for whatever this beast was, and it was coming for me…

Five…
