Champion Concept, Qaatier, The Plague Walker

Lore; A narration by Ezreal over his newest discovery.

> "Alone. That's all I could think of while I was there, deep within the Plague Jungle. Rumors of treasure and sights the likes of which no man could see in his normal life. Tempted by the thought, I braved the deadly wilds. I was there for a harsh week, dealing with everything the jungle could throw at me, until I saw it. Human? Animal? Plant? I had no idea what it was, but it did not like me being there, and it let me know it. I woke up one night with a piece of tree bark next to my tent, and on it was just...a picture, one of a man dead and his body pinned to a tree. It used pollen on the hair, showing it blond and I knew, it wanted me to leave. > I don't know who or what this thing was, but the fact that it had sentient intelligence enough to do that, let me know I did not want to deal with it, not in this territory." > > "Months have gone by and I can't get the sight of it, those white specks of eyes it had. Countless times I had woken up, feeling it constantly watching me, the sheer terror of its visage seeming to show up out of every corner of my vision. This was a nightmare that wasn't going to stop, not until I took care of it and finished what I started." > > "I set out that morning, determined to go back to the jungle, and find the temple I had originally searched for, but when I walked out of the city, I was met with a terrifying sight. It HAD followed me, all the way back here. I don't know what it wanted, but it was clear I wasn't getting away from it."

I'm pretty meh at writing, I know, but still.

Abilities!

Passive: Plague walker. Dealing damage to an enemy champion gives them a stack of Plague. This debuff causes Qaatier to deal 1% more damage to them with each subsequent hit of his auto attack, maxing at 5%.

Q: Immersive Fear. Active; Qaatier removes all Plague stacks from all champions within range, dealing damage per stack, and reducing movement speed from all champions hit, siphoning it to itself.

Evolved: Plague walker now stacks 10 times and it is no longer revealed when using this from a brush.

W: Springtrap. After a 1 second delay, Qaatier sets up an invisible, untargetable trap. This trap, when walked upon by an enemy champion, springs them towards the nearest bush. (Knocking them airborne but dealing no damage.) (This trap has a visual effect. I'm imagining a bundle of leaves appearing before popping up and flinging the champion.)

Evolved: Springtrap can be cast from a larger range, and the setup is completely invisible.

E: Jungle Tactics Passive: Qaatier's auto attacks become ranged while in brush. These attacks do not apply Plague Walker. Active: Places a trap near itself. This trap roots any champion that steps on it.

Evolved: This trap roots the first target, spreads out, then roots all enemy champions in range.

R: Truth of the Wilds. Qaatier teleports from a brush to any other brush on the map. A 3 second channel time and a 2 second delay from where it intends to be. During the channel time, any source of damage will stop it, putting his ult on half cooldown.

Passive: Qaatier gains an Evolution point to spend on his abilities.

Evolved: Qaatier gains stealth after finishing his ultimate's channel, only leaving stealth after 5 seconds or attacking an enemy. Qaatier does not leave stealth while setting up traps.

Its Q's damage is the only thing I'm not sure of; feel free to comment/criticize. :)

Edit: Reworked the W a little for more clarity, as well as to add this note.

The idea for this champion is one of not damage, but utility. A tanky bruiser that sets up traps to position and reposition itself and the enemy team without them realizing it, setting up its team for fights by slowly separating and picking off individuals. This is not an assassin, this is not a burst mage.

hmm so champ built around something akin to teemo mushrooms and caitlyns traps and twitches posion?

what would it look like, some sort of tree like a maokai cousin?

if the goal is to make him focus on on stealth and traps why not make his passive grant stealth when exiting bushes? the remaining stealthed while attacking is prob overkill and a no go.

the Q seems easy enough to balance akin to twitch perhaps linking the plague walker the passive/active for this.

W seems okay if its visually revealed once tripped though id suggest that it trap them with a no or low damage root (like a cait trap) and then flings them, this gives them a chance to react to and prepare for the fling, the range and invisibility might be a bit much i think range an say an increase to the number you can hold would be a better evolution.

E seems pretty cool, bounces are always really disorienting though having two might be a bit much if he/she/it also has a ranged AA. making the trap start at 200 units and then pulls anyone within 400 units might make it a bit more user friendly

R is interesting but i think you need to see how the other abilities and stealth all work together stealth breaks on action for a reason usually
