The future of skin design
With the release of DJ Sona and Elementalist Lux we are starting to see a new breed of skin coming to League, I however, am against it.
Don't misunderstand me, I still think that DJ Sona is THE BEST SONA SKIN and I really like each of the color schemes and designs but I don't like how Riot seems to be stapling four or five skin concepts together and calling it an ultimate (or legendary, or whatever I can't keep track of the names anymore).
Instead of just pasting skins together I have come up with a few ideas that Riot can use to make skins feel fresh.
1.) Unique and situational backing animations and lines: Unique recalls isn't something new but to have one that takes into account different factors of the game such as how much gold you have, your level of health, your k/d/a, build path, etc would be really cool. ----Example: Backing as Lux whenever you have 1500+ gold could trigger an animations where Lux says "Time to go....SHOPPINGGG!!!" and starts screaming and dancing around in circles waving her hands around. ----Example 2: Backing as Draven with a k/d greater than 3 to 1 would make him say "Just like I tell you kids, keep calm and Draven on" (I know it sounds lame but I couldn't think of anything better off the top of my head.
2.) Evolving Skins: Similar to above, this skins would change based on various factors of the game, the most common one being health. ----Example: Best Idea I can think of would be a an Armored Blitz-crank skin who would shed bits of armor as his health gets lower and lower ----Example 2: Sion could get more scars, bruises and just general injuries the more damage he takes ----Example 3: Dying Embers Brand. Starts out black as coal, with barely any glow or hint of fire in him, as he gains Ap his fire burns higher and brighter
