Concept; Buying LP

Now bear with me, what if you could buy LP with RP. No, not 1 for 1 or anything like that. I mean, I'm at 97 LP, and I am able to buy just 5 LP, or round up to 100, for, say, 25 RP. Everyone has a little bit of RP left over, and no one wants to play that extra game to get to 100. Now, on top of this, you could make sure it is only available if you have 95 LP or more. 94 and lower, no can-do. As well as, you know how you get that free win if you failed your series/promos last time? If you round up, you WON'T get that free win, that way it is a sort of motivator to play more. Even more restrictions, make sure you can only buy it once a month, max. Ideas? Thoughts? Reasons this is a stupid idea?
