[Champion Concept] Kit Idea

I am going to refer to the champion as Champion.

  • Uses Mana.
  • Is a melee champion.

[Passive] Best of Both Worlds - Champion gains Ability Power equal to a percent of his Attack Damage and Attack Damage equal to a percent of his Ability Power. These bonuses do not stack with each other.

**[Q] Harass ** - A ranged skill-shot. Scales only with Ability Power. High mana cost. Short cooldown. Shares a cooldown with [W] Slice.

[W] Slice - On next auto-attack, deal bonus damage that cleaves to nearby enemies. Scales only with Attack Damage. High mana cost. Short cooldown. Shares a cooldown with [Q] Harass.

[E] Mimicry - A spell shield. If an ability is blocked, Mimicry is replaced by that ability temporarily. It has the same costs of the original ability meaning that if it costs energy or some other cost that Champion does not have then Champion cannot cast it.

The cooldown of Mimicry will always be at least a set duration, but will be extended based on how soon the replaced ability is cast after it was blocked.

[R] Go Time - A temporary buff. Champion's health, attack speed, and size are all increased for a duration. High mana cost. Long cooldown.

Let me know what you guys think. I want to improve this champion concept, but I will not waste my time if no one is interested in it.

I think it makes sense. The kit is clearly catered towards having a mana based build such as Seraph's or Manamune. A triforce would clearly be effective here as well. I imagine the build will be similar to the Ezreal build path that involves a Triforce and Manamune. Besides, without actual numbers, it is too early to decide exactly what build will be effective.

That aside, the concept itself isn't extraordinary. What will really make this stand out will be the lore and the numbers. That said, I would support this simply because I am curious as to where you will take this. Finally, the thing that will likely make this stand out the most is the simplicity of the kit. Many of the concepts I've read seem to have complex kits in an attempt to be original and unique but sometimes a simple kit with decent lore is all it needs.

Mimicry needs some work. Not being able to copy Energy based champions isn't really acceptable. Why not copy the energy cost into mana?

His passive is way too boring. Also much to similar to Akali, but now it's pure power.

His ultimate is.... Nasus+Aatrox? I feel like he could have a much cooler ultimate to follow his Anti-mage Spellblade theme.

His Q and W (while unique in sharing a cd) are very bland. Basic skillshot damage and AA modifier.

My suggestion: I like the theme of this champion and the idea of mimicry, I think giving him a bit more identification would be nice though.

To make him more versatile I would recommend implementing a stance or form change as his ultimate. All of his abilities could share cooldowns HOWEVER they would fulfill different niches. 1 of his forms would be to combat mages as an anti mage (Mimicry, long range poke like harass, and maybe an ability to engage) and then a form that focuses on anti-melee (change mimicry to being an Auto attack deflect? AA modifier and some form of close range AoE soft cc or single target hard cc)

I think that would make him a bit more unique and give him a little more pizazz.

Creating a passive that supports hybrid play without being simple stats is difficult. I'd have to think about that :P Anyways that's my feedback at least.

Mimicry is similar to Sivir's and Nocturne's Spellshield. However, I think it might be a bit overpowered (as another player suggested). For Sivir, all she gets back is mana. Which I guess is arguably great considering she's a bit mana hungry if you spam alot. While Nocturne gets attack speed, which again is great because he is an AA champ. However, Mimicry might be a bit too much if you consider that this champion will be a hybrid of both Attack Damage and Ability Power, meaning for most of whatever spell he/she blocks, he/she can use it effectively. Considering this point, I do think that the inability to cast energy-based spell is required. However, if I remember correctly, all of the energy champions have cost-free ultimates. Bottom line, I think Mimicry needs some work, but I do not know how to change it, yet.

I feel as though the ult should reduce/eliminate the mana cost of the other abilities while it is active, otherwise, based on all the high mana cost descriptions, you'll have to build mana items to keep fighting; especially in the early to mid, and if it's "Go Time" and you're oom, the only place you're going is back to your fountain after "X" respawn time.

I had the idea of mimicry a while ago but didnt know how it would work, I think this is a great way to implement it. The only problem is it might be a bit over powered, considering it can block ults and use them right back.

Old Kayle Passive. Was removed for being incredibly broken when fed. Same thing applies here.

Q and W sharing a cooldown: Is interesting. I'd like to see that expanded more.

E: Ability reflect is broken. I don't really think it would work in LoL, at all. Seriously, it takes away an ability from an enemy, and then gives it to you.

R: Relatively boring Gives Stats ult. Just a nasus ult, without even the AoE damage of that. Eh.

Their Q and W are about the only two skills that seem workable.
