Hello all, first let me take a moment to thank you for reading this concept I made, this idea was in the works for a while and has gone through a few changes since first conceived. Of course i don't believe its perfect, but I would like to run its current idea by you all so i may get your feedback on this concept.

Not much is known about the mysterious merchant who goes by the name Aurum, only that he is a charming, handsome, sophisticated man with a variety of goods he peddles. Besides his looks and the quality of his attire, there is another distinguishable feature of the merchant. He is not in possession of his right hand, instead, he wears a magic, metal prosthetic, which allows him the almost all the functions of a normal hand. However once gold passes through that hand, the prosthetic shines a bright golden color, and magic pours from it. The value of the hand is apparent, yet this lone merchant has not yet been robbed of it, no matter how many try to take it.

His affinity for gold has led him to peddle his wares across the world in numerous locations, leading him to attain numerous friends, allies, partners, lovers and enemies all around. In addition to this, he has had a hand in numerous shadow deals, plots and assassinations behind closed doors.

Roles: Mage, Mid.

Passive: Gold Affinity Aurum gains an extra piece of gold once every five seconds. He can also use gold to purchase stat boosting upgrades to one of 6 stats. Ability Power, Magic Resist, Armor, Movement Speed, Health and Mana. Each stat can be boosted 3 times and the limit for stat boosts cap at 10 total.

The stat boost values are as follows: Level 1: 2.5% boost - 500 gold Level 2: 5% boost - 1000 gold Level 3: 7.5% boost - 2000 gold.

Q: All that Glitters. Cooldown: 10 seconds Mana: 80 First Cast: Aurum fires a skill shot that marks enemies in an area, dealing no damage, but marking them for 5 seconds. After one second, enemies marked take an increased amount of damage for 4 seconds that scales: 5/7/9/10/12.

Second Cast: If cast again before the duration ends, Aurum detonates all the marks on enemies, dealing 80/100/120/140/160+(80% AP) magic damage to them. The damage decreases by 10% during the remaining 4 seconds.

W: Enticing Words. Cooldown: 14 seconds. Mana: 90 Aurum charms a single enemy, dealing 10/20/30/40/50+(40% AP) magic damage and causing them to walk towards him harmlessly for 1 second.

E: Gold Shot. Cooldown: 8 seconds. Mana: 50 Aurum doubles the attack range on his next attack and deals 10/25/40/65/80+(20% AP) bonus magic damage.

R: Gold Rush. Cooldown: 80 seconds. Mana: 150 Aurum surrounds himself with a flurry of coins that deal 20/40/60(+10% AP) magic damage to enemies within 500 units, and gains bonus movement speed 1. towards enemies marked by All that Glitters.

After 8 seconds, or recast, the flurry condenses and explodes outward, dealing 200/350/500(+60% AP) to all enemies within 750 units.

That's the concept and kit for now, if there's enough interest int he character I'll expand on his story and relationships as well as his personality at a later time, let me know what you think.

i like the story and would have liked to know more about what the golden hand can do so the abilities you choose might tie into the story a bit.... as for the abilities i feel like his W E and R are a mixture of ahri Ahri fiddlesticks Fiddlesticks and aurelion sol AurelionSol so you might want to put a bit more work into those 3 to make it a bit more unique, but other than that i like the idea.

Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you have taken some interest in the lore and I promise you, the charm has an actual tie in to his lore, as well as to why he has such an affinity for gold. As for why his kit his similar to other champs, I would like to say that many new champs have spells that are similar to other champs. Aurelion Sol being a good example. But In order to make his play style seem more unique than the other champions, I changed key aspects in his kit so that he plays differently than the others.

You see, while his kit may seem like Ahri's his playstyle would be closer to Swain or Vladimir, where the idea is to stick to the enemy champion and harss them while they try to escape. While his ult may seem like Fiddlestick's, he doesn't have as much range or flurry damage with it, meaning its still easier to kill him before the burst activates. The abilities might be similar to one another, but how they use them are intended to be different.

Though you do make a good point, and I do admit that there seems to be a part of the kit missing that may really bring it together, may be a passive effect on one of his abilities or a new passive altogether, do you have any thoughts?
