An attempt to make "The Ink Mage" work
Kakkata The Ink Mage
Passive: Stroke of the brush - Kakkata can paint lines on the terrain by left clicking (cast range of 1000). The lines painted last for 3 seconds before fading unless Kakkata is standing on them (which resets the time before the line fades). This consumes Kakkata's ink well (this replaces a mana bar), which replenishes over time. If Kakkata moves over his paint, his next basic attack deals bonus magic damage. Kakkata also gains 3% movement speed that stacks (up to 5 stacks) when he moves over his paint. Once Kakkata reaches 5 stacks he gains Merged stroke.
Merged Stroke - When Kakkata has full stacks of Stroke of the Brush's movement speed boost, he can be right clicked on. Kakkata follows this line drawn from him (rather than needing to right click to move), and he can follow this single line through terrain. Once Kakkata exits terrain, Merged Stroke ends, and Stroke of the Brush is capped at 4 stacks for a cool down.
-quick notes- Canvases are translucent images that stay above a champion or in a targeted location (depending on the ability), and right clicking is unaffected by canvases. Canvases also absorb Stroke of the Brush's lines, rather than the lines staying on the terrain (however lines made on the canvas that do not complete a line fade, but still consume ink). The strokes made on canvases are counted from when the left mouse button is clicked and dragged to when it is released, so frantic scribbling will not count.
The characters used in these abilities are actual Chinese characters. The number of strokes needed to make them are the actual strokes needed to write them correctly, and those lines should be made correctly in game (the correct shapes and stroke order can be indicated on the canvas).
Q: Character of Damage - Kakkata casts a canvas above the targeted champion with the character 刀 on it. This character requires 2 strokes to be made. Kakkata deals damage to the targetted champion for each stroke completed (damage scales with AP).
W: Character of Creature - Kakkata casts a canvas to a targeted location with the character 犬 on it. This character requires 4 strokes to be made. Once the character is completed, a dog-like familiar spawns from the canvas.
Kakkata's familiar can be controlled like other champions' pets (like Annie's Tibbers). The familiar can also be left clicked, and will then follow the line created on the terrain. The familiar also gains 5% movement speed when following this line. The familiar will target enemy units (prioritizing enemy champions) near it that are touching the line it is following, and also gains 10% damage against them.
Kakkata's familiar lasts for 8 - 12 seconds (depending on level), and Character of Creature will go on cool down once the familiar dies.
E: Character of Cage - Kakkata casts a canvas above to a targeted location with the character 口 on it. This character requires 3 strokes to be made. Once the character is complete, a cage spawns from the canvas.
The cage can be left clicked, and the line dragged from it (which also has a shorter cast range) can be connected to a single champion. Champions connected to the cage are immediately pulled into the cage, and stunned for 1 - 2 seconds (depending on level). Kakkata's familiar also can not damage champions in the cage.
R: Character of Color - Kakkata casts a canvas over himself with the character 色 on it. This character requires 6 strokes to be made. Once the character is complete Kakkata becomes empowered, and his Stroke of the Brush's lines become a changing rainbow of colors when pressing R while left clicking. This is limited to 6 strokes.
Each of Kakkata's 6 empowered strokes can deal damage to enemies once per stroke. Using the empowered strokes on Character of Damage deals bonus damage. Using them on Character of Creature increases the familiar's damage, as well as how long it lasts and how much health it has. Using them on Character of Cage damages enemy champions when they are connected to the cage, or makes ally champions connected to the cage immune until they leave the cage.
