pool party taliyah cosplay

I cosplayed a few years ago as default taliyah for dragon con. i about died in the atlanta heat. I was thinking of making a pool party skin, but have been having trouble with a theme. last night i thought i should make her a life guard, like reneton! I was wondering if this would be cannon for her? I'd still make her a cover up with long sleeve tassel things, but it would say life guard on the back.
