[Champion Concept] Jazz - The Elastic Fists of Zaun

Character background

Jazz is Ekko's sister, and everything Ekko never was, or wanted, to be. Ekko is known to have parents and just not really wanting to be home. While the streets gave Ekko the freedom he wanted, his older sister Jazz has taken a very different path. Her ingenuity and personal strength was apparent from an early age, and lacking the distrust of Piltover that Ekko embraced, her perseverance earned Jazz a scholarship at a private boarding school in Piltover. Excelling both academically and physically, Jazz remained an outcast at school as she refused to deny or hide her Zaunite origins. Boxing was her only outlet beyond her scientific brilliance. Poached by a private research laboratory, Jazz was assigned to a team working on a sample obtained from a rogue project.

When Zac revealed himself to the city, Jazz left Piltover in disgust, but not before having made some advancements of her own. With Zac's aid, she was able to develop several chemicals that can mimic his properties without his sentience or rejuvenation.

Today, Jazz uses these chemicals in her new role as Jazz, The Elastic Fists of Zaun.

Jazz's kit uses her chemical knowledge and boxing prowess to give her a competitive edge on the Rift. Her fists and shoes are coated in a rubberised derivative of Zac's goo, giving her a the ability to bounce quickly through the map, while her fists allow her to both conserve her early momentum and rebound off walls. This same goo can be electrically charged to become sticky and loose, before rebounding back into shape if charged again. Specially designed shoes and a wrist-mounted goo-gun of her own invention allow Jazz to stick to the enemy, or to the ground, as she wishes, allowing her to float like a butterfly or sting like a bee as she chooses. Finally, an explosive goo-bomb allows her to get out of sticky situations, or cause them, if that's what she needs.

Champion Kit

Passive - Bounce - Jazz receives increasing movement speed as long as she continues to move, accruing stacks of Bounce. Stacks grant greatly increased AttSpd for 2/3/4 seconds based on stacks dropped. (So 100 stacks is max Ms and AS bonus, stacks all drop off if you stop moving for 2 seconds, or enter combat. builds to full stacks over 5 seconds after 3 seconds out of combat.)

Q - Elasticate - Jazz fires her goo gun in a skillshot, causing x damage, slowing by x% for 1 second and tethering Jazz to them. Re-activating will pull both champions towards each other (Naut hook) If re-activated while rooted drags enemy to you. Tether lasts 3 seconds, or until broken. (tether range roughly the same as LeBlanc)

W - Brace Yourself - Jazz roots herself to ground; she cannot be knocked up or back, can be stunned (roots apply as normal, fears disable but no movement) while rooted gains increased AD and slightly increased AA range. Lasts until de-activated. (A 1 second delay between toggles and a c/d when turned off.)

E - Rebound - Jazz dashes forward, if she collides with terrain, will ricochet off at correct angle and travel in that direction for twice the Base distance. Collision with an enemy causes slight knock-back and 0.5s stun, stops movement. (Might add a max rebound count that increases with level)

R - Bubble Gum - champion lobs a missile forward a chosen distance; it explodes, causing aoe damage to all enemies, stunning them for 1.5 seconds and leaving a 50% aoe slow field for 4 seconds. Passing over this field grants and maintains full stacks of Bounce.

Gameplay Jazz is a melee Fighter suited to Jungling and Top; her passive and E give her great mobility through the jungle, while her passive and W give her a strong clear. Her Q and W give Jazz a strong ganking option as well, with the option to bring an enemy into her team, stick with an enemy to finish alone or get in place for a well-timed ultimate.

While Jazz has a lot of opportunity to stick with an enemy, her weakness is two-fold; as a squishy base champion, building high damage will leave her vulnerable, especially at her most powerful when she Ws for bonus damage at the expense of her own movement. On the other hand, building all tank will make her a sticky but lower damaged champion who make be able to annihilate a squishy if she can catch them and make full use of her passive, but will struggle to take out anyone who can tank the initial burst without rooting herself to do so. She can stand toe-to-toe with a juggernaut if she builds tanky, but will have to use her W bonus to do so successfully, or can deal with squishy champions as a damage build but will struggle of she dives too deep or is caught off guard with hard cc.

Why would she leave piltover in disgust after ZAC's reveal? He was created in Zaun to be a Zaunite weapon, and the scientists working on him fled from Zaun with him to give him a real life. If anything she would be disgusted with Zaun, right?

BTW interesting toolkit. Might have to change numbers around especially on passive +100% Ms and As would be pretty OP even if the AS only lasts for 4 seconds
