When I say shorter version I mean that this will focus just on his kit, stats and some development notes. The original post can be found here for anyone who wants to look at what his background and personality are like.

##Stats

Health : 590.4 - 2222.4 (+96) Health Regen : 8.37 - 21.97 (+0.8) Fury : 100 Melee : 150 Attack Damage : 58 - 117.5 (+3.5) Attack Speed : 0.625 - 0.958 Armor : 27.3 - 84.25 (+3.35) Magic Resist : 32.1 - 53.4 (+1.25) Movement : 345

##Abilities

Passive - Great Swings - Ulric's attacks can cleave nearby enemies in a small arc in front of him. The primary target will take full damage while targets hit by his cleave will take 40-80% of that damage, depending on your level. Additionally critical strikes will work in a similar fashion, with the primary target taking full 200% damage while cleaved targets will take 110-145% of that damage instead, again depending on your level. The range of your cleave will be limited to your basic auto attack range at very early levels. However, as you gain levels, your cleave will gain range and can hit enemies farther away from you, with a max range of 375 at level 18. (Note: possibly considering removing this from his kit depending on how feedback is)

Reaver - Ulric will gain fury from his attacks. He gains 2 fury whenever he attacks an enemy unit, doubled to 4 if he kills the unit. This effect is doubled against enemy champions and epic monsters. Cleaved targets will also generate fury but at half the value for all targets. Fury will drain by 5 per second if he has not attacked or has been out of combat for 6 seconds. If Ulric's health drops to or below 25/30/35% he will gain .1/.2/.3 damage reduction for each point of fury he currently has, up to a max of 10/20/30% damage reduction. As well, Ulric will gain .5-.8 (depending on level) bonus AD for each % of missing health you have and if your health drops to or below 50% you gain 10-50% bonus attack speed.

Q - Shattered Earth Range: 625 Cooldown: 14/13.5/13/12.5/12

  • Ulric slams his weapon to the ground, sending a shockwave in target direction, dealing 60/85/110/135/160 (+70% AD) to all enemies in it's path. This ability may be cast while you are charging. If you do cast it, you will then release a 300 AoE shockwave emanating from you, rather then sending one in a target direction, at the end of your charge.

W - Furious Charge Range: 700 Cooldown: 19/18/17/16/15

  • Ulric charges in target direction to a max range of 700, dealing 40/75/110/145/180 (+45% AP) damage to all enemies he hits. Any minions and non-epic monsters you hit will be knocked aside (similar to Draven's E) while any enemy champions you hit will be knocked back a small distance and will become briefly stunned for .75 seconds.

E - Rending Sweep Range: 175 Cooldown between uses: .75 Passive - Rending Sweep has a charge system, similar to Rumble's E. You gain a max of 2 charges at the first rank, increased to 5 at max rank, and you gain a charge every 10 seconds (CR can reduce the time it takes for you to gain a charge). Upon hitting an enemy champion with this ability, your current time to gain a charge will be reduced by 3 seconds for each champion hit. This can only happen a certain number of times in a certain window of time before there is a separate cooldown, disabling you to reduce the charge time by hitting enemy champions for 4 seconds.

Active - Ulric strikes out at all enemies around him, dealing 35/60/85/110/145 (+35% AD) damage and adding a stack of rend to all enemies hit. Each stack of rend beyond the first will deal 5/10/15/20/25 (+20% AD) damage to enemies over 3 seconds and give additional effects depending on how many stacks a target has on them.

  • 2 Stacks: 15/17.5/20/22.5/25% slow
  • 3 Stacks: 25/27.5/30/32.5/35% slow
  • 4 Stacks (Max Stacks): 40/45/50/55/60% slow, any additional hits from from Rending Sweep will deal an addition 5% damage

R Cooldown: 130/115/100 Passive - Killing a minion or non-epic monster will heal you for 1% of your max health. Killing or assisting in a champion or epic monster kill will instead heal you for 50/100/150 +10/15/20% of your missing health.

Active - Ulric becomes enraged for 10 seconds, allowing his auto attacks to deal 4/8/12% increased damage and gaining 5/15/25 tenacity. However he will also take additional 2/4/6% damage from enemy champions. He will also gain +5% movement speed and his abilities are empowered for the duration:

Q - Will now leave the ground torn up and after a short delay flames will erupt from the area for 4 seconds, dealing 30/55/80/105/130 (+50% AP) damage per second to all enemies standing within and will also ground them while the flames are active.

W - Range is increased to 900, any enemy champions you hit are now dragged along with you to your end point, stun is increased to 1.25 seconds and if you hit at least one enemy champion you will gain a shield for 2.5 seconds, equal to 40/75/110/145/190 +2.5% of your bonus health for each enemy champion you hit.

E - Your bonus movement speed is increased by 5%, up to a max of 15/20/25% for each stack of rend on enemy champion, per champion near you (for example, a champion with three stacks of rend would give the same amount of bonus MS if there were three enemy champions with one stack of rend on them each. As well, when a target reaches max rend stacks on them, 5% of the bleed damage is then dealt as pure damage. ( Huge Note: Like with the base passive I'm considering of removing the pure damage from this kit or possibly rework it to do true damage or damage base on the enemy's health. Feedback, again, will be the deciding factor)

##Small History, Author's Notes and Reference Images So Ulric as of now is one of the few concepts I've created to push towards another berserker themed champion for a while now. I know that Olaf is already in the game, and for personal reason's I'm also including Tryndamere as a type of berserker, but overall I have a problem with these two. First Tryndamere: As of right now, he just isn't fun to play as or against. All he ever feels like he can do is just split push and only contribute to teamfights as either a CC magnet or high damage cleanup. His W is just very clunky to work with and his ult, while fits his theme of the undying king, is very annoying to play against. Either it's activated in a duel and you have enough damage to kill your opponent before the timer expires, or you don't and you run away like a bitch with your ridiculous E.

Now to Olaf he does fit the theme very well. But I just feel like he's a little too reliant on his Q for providing his CC and aside from his ult's active and his passive, the rest of him just feels lack luster and somewhat dated IMO. He's still a good pick though, don't get me wrong but more or less he only feels like a berserker in a dueling sense. When I think of a berserker I usually think about someone going into a fit of rage and trying to strike at all enemies around them at once. So I tried to create a champion that somewhat felt that way, bringing both a feel like Olaf/Tryn but providing that AoE damage that I always imagine these warriors would be doing.

Other things that inspired me to create Ulric were other berserker type playstyles from other games. Specifically, the two were the Diablo 3 Barbarian class and the Dragon Age Reaver class. Both of these are fun games for me to play outside of League and for good reason simply because they're fun. The barbarian is just funny to watch, doing these insane jumps and charges into massive hordes of enemeis while the reaver has just always been one of my favorite classes to play just because I really love the concept of a hero growing stronger and becoming tougher to kill the closer they are to death.

That being said I do have some things that I don't particularly like about this kit currently. The first part is that I couldn't find a way in this version to have fury interact more with the kit. As of right now it's only used to provide damage reduction and that's it. With other champions like Renekton, Shyv, Gnar, and Aatrox they all seem to have more interaction with fury. The second thing is that I kinda feel like I may have overloaded the kit a bit and that I may have created another Irelia, which is the last thing we all need. He may not have everything exactly like her but I do feel like I may have gone a little overboard on what I added and may consider removing some stuff if needed.

Lastly are just some images I found as references of what he may look like along with what his armor might look like.( I don't own any of these. All credit goes to the original creators of these images) http://i.imgur.com/D4bQNV6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/S91FYgI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/m606qC8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bSt7JXJ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/934rZyB.jpg

And that's the concept as of right now. Thank you all for reading this. If you have any questions or any helpful criticism to make this concept better please leave a comment down below. Remove some things, switch something out for something you suggested, adjust the numbers, anything. I would really like to hear what other people have to suggest to this or just how they feel about it. And again if you're interested check the link above for more in-depth details about Ulric.
