Nasus VGU?

There are a lot of things going on at the current moment when it comes to future reworks in League, but I strongly believe that a Nasus rework could be beneficial in the future. As a previous Nasus OTP, (I still play him a fair amount) compared to many other top lane tanks/bruisers in top lane he is extremely boring and lackluster. Nasus is designed as a champion to be a god, but he doesn't really touch on that. I feel like after the 12 stack Nasus buff he has gotten way out of hand but he is impossible to play at high elo given his kit is so easily counterable, and there aren't many healthy abilities in his kit. For starters, his w. Nasus's W is, IMO, the stupidest slow in the game. 95% slow on a point and click ability, like WHY. Okay, I get Nasus needs some form of ability to chase other champions given a lot of top laners have escape abilities that can get them away from him super easily, but it's just a filler ability that is infuriating to play against but at the same time feels lackluster. The unhealthy part of Wither is that in order for you to all in somebody with W, they have to make a mistake and walk into range of it. It's not like some CC ability like Syndra Q+E or Thresh Q to engage a fight, it's simply an ability designed to punish mistakes, but if you're playing against anybody who either is too far away to cast or just doesn't walk close enough, it feels like a useless ability. And his Q is just a basic auto attack but it is empowered by the amount of stacks you have, which is actually one of the most interesting things about his kit. The problem with his Q is that the amount of stacks you get and the amount of damage you can deal with his Q even while building full tank is rather broken. You can build Thornmail, Deadmans, Ninja Tabi, Tri Force, Spirit Visage, and Frozen Heart and still do 500+ damage late game with his Q, which when playing against feels like there is no counterplay whatsoever. Nasus's passive is really just boring, and compared to many other passives for champions it is lackluster and not interesting at all. Simple lifesteal that scales into late game. Nothing cool, to make you feel like an actual Shuriman Demigod rather than being just some lame dog with a staff. Don't get me wrong, there are many champions that are in need of reworks way above Nasus at the current moment, as despite Nasus's boring kit (that could probably be expanded on in a very interesting way) such as Skarner Volibear Fiddlesticks Nocturne DrMundo Rammus Vladimir Corki Chogath, to name a few, however I genuinely think that a possible Nasus VGU in late 2020 or even in 2021 would be a super cool idea. For example, maybe make his Q an AoE skillshot like Mord Q except smaller, give him a new passive that makes him feel like the true Shuriman Demigod that he should be, I don't know exactly what could be done. These are just my thoughts though, maybe people think Nasus is perfectly fine right now. Have a great day everyone!

He already got a Visual Update in 2013 and it's held up pretty decently. If anything he could have a smaller Gameplay Update but it's probably not even on Riot's radar right now.

Making nasus q AoE would still make problems with stacking, harder to just try last hitting and not make the other minions to low to stack and i don't rly like the idea of making nasus q a skillshot as it has always been a empowered autoattack.

The counter to nasus is kiting him as a team with much cc, he can only slow one champion + buy some healing reduction to make his healing worse

i have been playing nasus for many years and i don't think that he is boring so i rly hope that he isn't getting an vgu

You know it's really weird, I thought I was the only one who thought Nasus could benefit from a VGU. I'm really glad I'm not the only one. I agree with you on how Nasus' W and passive aren't the best designed spells in the game. Especially his W. I've been thinking of a VGU for Nasus for a bit now. But, I'm nervous to ever post it, because I know people are either gonna say "Oh he got a VU in 2013" or "I main him and he doesn't need one". Cool, I've been playing Nasus since season 4 and I get that his VU really helped him in the long run. The only issue with Nasus' design, is that he looks generic. He's obviously based off of Anubis. It's painfully obvious. And that's the reason why he's generic. If you compare him to Anubis from SMITE, They look really similar. And if you were to show Nasus' splash and Anubis' splash art to a scholar who works at a museum, and asked them "what do these characters remind you of?". They will 99.9% of the time say "Anubis". That's what I don't like about Nasus' design. Someone's gonna say, "But scholars don't play League of Legends, who cares about their opinion". Well, you should care. Because Nasus shouldn't be recognized as Anubis. He should be recognized as Nasus. No other video game has a Nasus. Nasus is an original Riot Games character. People should know that. If they see him as Anubis, then Nasus' design is a failure. How does one fix Nasus' generic design? Give him originality. Nasus is an ascended being. So, why not show people what it means to be ascended. Ascended champions should look more "ascended". What do I mean by that? Give them qualities that "normal" beings don't have. My idea for his VGU is first to give him more limbs. Give him 4 arms, 4 ears, and 4 eyes. Why should ascended beings look so plain and simple. Make them abominations. These regular people get the power of the Sun Disc, and all they come out as are giant animal people? What? How in the name of everything, is that original? There are so many forms of media with anthropomorphic characters. Especially video games. Why is Riot afraid to make their anthropomorphic characters look so different and out of the norm? Give them some more unique qualities that other games don't have. And also, make Nasus look older. Give him a beard and scars. He's an old being in the lore. Ascended beings can live up to thousands of years. Yet, Nasus looks like he just got Ascended? All I've said for Nasus goes for Renekton and Azir. Give Renekton the more limbs treatment. As well as Azir. But for Azir, I would give him 2 heads. He's the emperor of Shurima and he's a giant bird? Nice one Riot. An idea I've had for Nasus' passive and W is to make them have synergy. Not specifically his passive and W. But, his W and E. So, imagine his W as a medium sized skill shot. Similar to Kled's Q. And it looks like a little sand tornado. The ability goes through creeps and doesn't slow when it hits the champion. When it hits an enemy champion, they are marked. The mark stays on the enemy champion for X amount of seconds. The mark slowly does damage over time. Here's the part where it synergizes with his E. When Nasus drops his E on an enemy champion with the mark on them, the DOT will immediately deal the damage instead of doing it over time. And the enemy champion that's marked gets slowed the instant the E drops on top of them. His passive I was thinking it could be his current Q active effect. And when Nasus reaches a certain amount of stacks he grows in size gaining a certain amount of HP. His Q will still stack obviously. But, here's the new catch. The more Nasus stacks, the heavier his staff gets. It will take longer for Nasus to drop his staff onto enemies. But when he uses his R, the cast time for Q will be reduced to half. The Q change is so that he's not literally 1v5ing without his R. I get that's what he's known for. Being a "raid boss". But Nasus' level of raid boss is crazy compared to other champions who can do the same thing. If you're wondering about the W and E synergy. I was just imagining if a you got caught by Nasus and he throws a little sandstorm at your feet. Cool, big deal. But, when he drops his E on top of you that sand turns into fire and slows you because you're literally burning. And the the size growth and HP gain from the passive is just to show people that he's been stacking, and he's a big boi. You don't wanna fuck with him. I've probably could have made this giant paragraph smaller but I just wanted to get down my ideas to see if you agree or disagree with me. I would really appreciate a reply.
