[Skin Concept] "Grey Goo" Zyra
WARNING: Art is (poorly) made in MS Paint.
This' a submission I made for a skin idea contest that was tolerant of MS Paint. I've thrown in some edits, since my brain isn't the greatest at 3 AM.
"Grey Goo" Zyra
Why: "Grey Goo," is an end of the world scenario where apparently harmless, "nanites," overrun everything. This fits Zyra, since she kinda-sorta wants to consume everything with her plants (which are an extension of herself, kinda). It makes for an awesome sci-fi themed skin on a topic I don't believe Riot has yet explored.
Model:

Zyra's model essentially has thigh-highs, arm gloves, and a..corset? (I'm not good with fashion, sry)
I decided to keep the thigh-highs and gloves, and swap the corset for a coat with a fur, or layered petals, look (since her base's gloves have petals at her shoulders).
I translated her, "amulet," into a, "power core." I kept her yellow-y eyes, and went with some, "lipstick."
Since her hair's fantastic, I decided to keep the style. I felt coil/wire hair was for cumbersome machines, not elegant nano-machines.
I also stuck with the idea of, "nail-claws." While I didn't feel like keeping her vines in my rendition, I don't think they'd ruin it.
The reasoning for the look being that a scientist left a fashion magazine open (or had a tacky jacket), and she took the appearance to look less threatening (something common for shape-shifting sci-fi stuff). I felt just making a big grey Program bot would be boring for Zyra.
Seeds (including 2nd Ability):

Her new passive particles translate well to the idea of, "nanites," traveling and converging. Her seeds would be clusters. The little leaf particles that fly about can be, "nanites," expiring (since scientists think programming a short lifespan'll keep Zyra in line). The death could be the cluster disintegrating, but keeping the current, "squashed," animation would keep things less confusing.
Like her model, having the clusters be flowers looks far less threatening (luring in vict- admirers).
1st Ability (Q):

Since the damage isn't done until the boom, I went with coils heating up, and exploding. Adding, "thorns," wouldn't ruin it, but it's a little dishonest.
3rd Ability (E):

This time I went with bladed (not thorny), "vines," since it does damage on contact. The root would be the coils wrap- hugging the admirer.
Plants:

I liked the idea of the plants forming, rather than shooting out of the ground. The latter wouldn't ruin things (the former may cause insanity to animators).
The ranged plant would be a spear railgun (hence, the electric stuff on the attack, which isn't necessary, but it's kewl). I felt lazers would be a bit too far away from Zyra's thorn spitter, and might also be a bit much color havoc.
The slow plant would be a stun whip (electricity hurts, a lot). I felt this would convey that this plant has a crowd control affect (clarity, bb).
I also changed the four triangle, "targeted," indicator to a glowing crosshair. Sci-fi.
The death animation would be the plants disintegrating, though the, "fall over dead," would still work (remember: animators need their sanity).
Ultimate Ability (R):

Bladed, "vines," will emerge from a central point, which shows the ability does damage ON CONTACT (not on knockup). The knockup would remain the same, but be expiring, "nanites." I thought of making the knockup be the coils doing something similar to her first ability, but that part doesn't do damage, so I stuck with the default.
I'd also thought of making the ult nano-glue stuff, but then the on-contact damage wasn't clear (and making it too much could be distracting).
Death:
Since her new death animation may be worked on (it's really...odd, now), I wasn't sure about putting much here. Current thought is her core bursts, and she disintegrates (think Lissandra).
ABOUT THE GREY: I'm bad at art, so I was unable to draw energy, "stuff," to break it up. I don't wish to go to a random stranger about a commission (got a few friends who've been burned by that for a good chunk of money).
Any thoughts, comments, inquiries?
