Champion Concept: Levia, The Dream Thief

This is the fourth champion in my Seven Deadly Sin Series, if your interested in seeing the rest there are links to them at the bottom of the post. Levia is the champion that represents the sin of envy, which means she's based around the concept of longing for, or even stealing, things that others have that she does not. In this case, the thing in question is dreams. Born with the inability to dream, Levia is tormented every night by nightmares. Until the demon Invidia shows her how to steal the dreams of others, but this causes her to be forced into exile and lose everything. She is now a thief that steals from those that have out of sheer envy. In game, this is represented by her passive, which allows her to take the dreams of others, which increase her power at the expense of others. She can even use her ultimate to gain that power permanently at the cost of her targets life.

**Lore: ** Born to one of the wealthiest families in all of Piltover, Levia Than could have anything her heart desired and shouldn’t have wanted for anything. However, it would seem fate had different plans. Since her birth, she had issues staying asleep at night, but most doctors disregarded it as simple insomnia. It wasn’t until she reached the age of 7 that both her and her parents found that she in-fact had a previously undiscovered illness that causes her to be unable to dream and instead have her sleep filled with horrific nightmares. After discovering this, Levia’s parents contracted every physician across valoran to attempt to find a cure, none eased the torture Levia went through each night. As a last resort the bought her an Ionian dreamcatcher said to channel nightmares through it, siphoning them from the body in the process. Later that night however, instead of receiving nightmares Levia heard the equally disturbing voice of a spirit calling itself Invidia. It claimed know how to restore her lost dreams, but at the loss of others dreams. Deciding to try it out on her only brother, Levia snuck into his room the next night and used her dream catcher to yank the dreams of her brother, as Invidia told her to. He didn’t tell her how much to take, however and ended up draining almost all of her brother’s psyche before passing out from the exertion. During that rest, however, Levia experienced the most wonderful dreams and Invidia, who had been consuming Levia’s dreams before, devoured the most of the remaining psyche, leaving just enough for Levia to use for her dreams for a few days. In the morning, Levia’s parents discovered what Levia had done. Thought they did not know how, they were convinced that Levia, in her nightmare crazed madness, had killed her brother. In actuality Levia had absorbed his psyche, causing his brain to shut down, but her parents didn’t care. They didn’t have the it in them to execute their only remaining child, so they exiled her instead. Forced to live on the streets, Levia now scorns those that think themselves her better just because they have more than her. Using her newfound powers she prowls the streets of Piltover and Zaun, stealing the dreams of others, and sometimes taking more than just dreams, all in the pursuit to regain what she believes is rightfully her’s, and unknowingly feeding the demon inside her in the process.

Passive: Covet Every 3rd Autoattack against an enemy champion or large monster will allow Levia to steal a portion of the target’s Dreams, causing her to steal (5/6.75/8.5/10% at levels 1/6/11/16) of the target’s AD and AP for 3 seconds. Once a target’s dream is stolen, that target can’t have their dreams stolen again for 30 seconds while a new dream forms. Stealing a dream while the current one is active will only grant half the bonus and refresh the duration.

Q:** Dreamsnatch** Linear Skillshot: 950 Cost: (60/70/80/90/100) Mana Cooldown: (16/15/14/13/12) Seconds Levia tosses her dreamcatcher, attached to a string, out to snag dreams, stopping at the first enemy. If it hits an enemy, it will latch onto their psyche, taking hold of any dream they have and dealing (80/100/120/140/160)+(30% AP) magic damage. If the Enemy is a champion or epic monster, Levia will then pull back on her dreamcatcher, attempting to steal it. After 1.5 seconds, if the tether is still attached, she will tear the dream away from their psyche, Stealing it, dealing (160/180/200/220/240)+(90% AP) magic damage, and slowing them by 30% for 1 second in the process. While the tether persists, Levia is disarmed. This skill can be reactivated at any time to have Levia pull herself to the target, ending the tether. Tether is broken if Levia and the target move too far apart.

W: Invidious Gains Targeted: 700 Cost: (70/80/90/100/110) Mana Cooldown: (13/12/11/10/9) Seconds Passive: Stealing dreams feeds Invidia, who will then heal Levia for (60/80/100/120/140) health Active: Levia uses Invidia’s powers to lull target enemy champion into a half-asleep daze, stunning them for (1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2) seconds after a 1 second channel. Autoattacks against enemies in this state will cause Levia to steal their dream, regardless of how long ago she last stole a dream from them.

E:** Living Nightmare** Aoe Around Self Radius: 250 Cost: (40/50/60/70/80) Mana Cooldown: (13/12/11/10/9) Seconds Levia uses Invidia’s power to summon forth her nightmares in the form of a pulse of pure darkness that deals (90/120/155/195/240)+(30% AP) magic damage to all enemies in an aoe around her. The pulse leaves behind a zone of** living nightmares** for 4 seconds that slows enemies moving away from the epicenter of the zone by 30%.

R: Invidia’s Claim Linear Skillshot: 250 Cost: (170/150/130) Mana Cooldown: (150/130/110) Seconds Levia draws on Invidia’s full power, and uses it to fire a short ranged wave from her dreamcatcher. The wave stops at the first enemy champion hit and grabs their psyche, tethering it to Levia. While tethered, Levia steals (10/15/20)% of the victims AP or AD (whichever is higher), and converts it to AP for 6 seconds. Reactivating the skill causes Levia to use her dagger to cut the tether and absorb the dreams of her victim, dealing (15/20/25%)+(3/4/5% per 100 AP) of the target’s missing health as magic damage. If the target dies while tethered, Levia will absorb their entire psyche, gaining 10 AP permanently.
