new crowd control ability ideas.
So basically, here's a few ideas that maybe some of you can fit into a few kit designs if you want. Thus far I have not seen anyone come up with something similar(to my knowledge, anyway.) So here they are:
Fumble - While the CC is active, the target's next spell cast will be wasted(fumbled) and go on cooldown. Fumbling an ability disperses the effect. This is basically an alternative to silence that can be given a much larger duration, as it can be easily bypassed, but at a slight cost.
Confusion - Afflicted target is forced to attack it's nearest ally(prioritizing champions) for the duration. This is essentially a reverse taunt. I think it works slightly better against ad carries and you cant really catch someone under turret with this one. The damage dealt would still count as yours, but I feel it would be fun if the attacking champion got an assist for killing a teammate.
Grease - Afflicted champion is "greased" and cannot normally stop movement. Basically, when you move somewhere while greased, you keep sliding even after you reach destination or start attacking or casting spells, and issuing a move command opposite of that direction will cause you to slowly accelerate. The idea itself is very fiddly, but I feel like it would cause a great deal of hilarity to the game.
Spell reflection - Basically, imagine a spell-shield that not only blocks the next incoming spell, but reflects it to the caster. Why would it be CC? Well, it's not. You can reflect CC though. What happens when thresh hooks himself?
amnesia - While this persists, the champion under it's effect has all his/her skill cooldowns increased by some small fraction of time. This basically is negative cooldown reduction(it might be %, it might be just a bonus of 1 second or something). This would be very situational, but dropping an extra second on a spam-mage would be very impactful.
These are just a few ideas. If anyone has some ideas for unique CC or something similar, feel free to post. I would be very interested to hear about them.
Thank you.
