[Game Mode Idea] - Showdown (inspired by Doublelift and Imaqtpie )
Author's notes: I have a giant textbook of all the minor details so I tried my best to condense all of the details in this post. This is my first Entrepreneur 'pitch' I guess you could call it that. TL;DR - see poll. If you get the tone of arrogance while reading my post, I apologize. It's what happened when I decided to condense the textbook of details. ^_^;

With your nose you inhale a pleasant aroma. It is the aroma of something great in the works.
Last Thanksgiving night, I was introduced to the YouTube video 'Doublelift 1v1 SHOWDOWN VS IMAQTPIE' by my brother.
The rules are simple: 1 vs 1, one agreed-upon skillshot skill, same champion, level 1, buy boots, meet at the Baron pit, first person to kill wins.
It is amazing, fun, fast, intense. Never before have I actually laughed out loud as hard as I did when playing this custom game idea. In fact, I haven't laughed at all in months until I played Arena Showdown. If you haven't already, go out there and play it. Share it with friends and family.
What I love about the 1vs1 showdown concept is that it's truly friendly competition, you'll laugh your ass off, and** gladly** say 'GG' after the match,
I admire and respect that Riot is improving a lot of aspects about League of Legends, listening to the community and taking action whether it be implementing replays, bringing back solo queue, etc. Of course, Riot is not perfect, but believe it or not they sure as hell are trying their best.
With all that in mind, Let me impose my question to you: How would you, yes you and only you, feel about an actual 1vs1 showdown arena game mode as a community-funded, community-driven project?
What do I mean by community-funded? As a new entrepreneur (more on this later), I have learned that ideas take tremendously thorough plans and only after the plans have been set can an entrepreneur, like myself, even start to think about receiving the funds necessary to make that plan come into fruition.

This quote from David Sivers really resonated with me. There is the idea right there in the open. That idea is the arena (baron pit) showdown concept. Worth an imaginary 20$. Let's make that into $20,000,000 solely to bring entertainment and good times to those who support the game.
The goal is to have a fixed fundraising goal, of $20,000,000. Yes, 20 big ones. 20 million. 20 fucking million. All funded through you guys, me, your friends, you girls, your family,.. the community. You have a say in what you want. You have a say in how you want the game mode implemented. Any excess funds, not needed to make the Arena Showdown game mode, will be used to give back to the community in the form of free League of Legends merchandise as well as special perks to those who donated. I agree to not use any funds raised for myself.
Fixed fundraising is a type of fundraising in which, if the target goal is not reached, all funds will be refunded in full.

Earning calculations condensed version: Riot would make a lot of money, and I hope they use that money to invest in, not only in themselves, but also the community that supports their game.
Additional revenue options, after the initial purchase of $10, can be implemented for a nominal fee ($1 to 5$ max). The gist (condensed): if you have a design, you submit it to Riot. They review it. They publish it. You'll get a kind of royalty fee for each purchase of your skin / voice pack. Just an idea, not an actual thing at Riot at the moment, but I would love to see it in action, after all that is one of my goals: A community driven game that benefits both the community and the company.
**To Riot Games, do you agree that if the goal of $20,000,000 is reached, that you will deploy a team dedicated in making this game mode while keeping an open line of communication with the community? **
If you agree we will need an official contract agreement. And, be open to the community about what the contract entails. If not, then I cannot start the campaign. Simple as that.
