Champion Concept: Phoebe, The Lethargic Prodigy
This will be the fifth champion in my Seven Deadly Sins Series. Links to the rest can be found at the bottom of the post. When designing Phoebe, the champion that embodies the sin of sloth, I obviously wanted to work towards capturing the concept of laziness and sluggishness. The best role to fit this kind of motif was a slow moving tank. Based on this I thought it'd be a cool concept if Phoebe just became this immovable fortress that slowly lumbered across the battlefield and only damaged what's directly around her. In order to capture this concept, I imagined Phoebe in a giant, spider like mech, similar to porky's from mother 3/ super smash bros. brawl if your familiar with those games, that carried her every where and blasted foes with an array of weapons should they draw near. Gameplay-wise that meant that she was a tanky mage with a fair amount of cc that punishes those that engage on her hard, but can be kited easily. I imagine she'd be very good at a defensive game and would have difficulty playing overly aggressive, especially due to her only movement spell renders her immobile for a bit after use. Hope you guys like it and let me know what you think.

Lore: Born to renowned Glor Clan of scientists and scholars in Piltover, many believed Phoebe would be destined for greatness. She only confirmed these beliefs, as she turned out to be a true prodigy; making many insightful and important discoveries by the mere age of 10. However, most did not know that her blessed knowledge came with a terrible curse; a rare, withering sickness known as Acaria that was slowly eating away at her body and energy. The sickness was steadily draining her will and making her increasingly unable to work. Seeking a way to keep her research going, Phoebe constructed a large machine that had the potential to both keep herself alive and allow her to keep working towards the progress she strived for. As the construct neared completion, the Acaria that plagued Phoebe took an even stronger hold, threatening to undermine all she worked for. In that time, the demonic spirit thought to be the cause of Acaria, Acadia spoke to her, offering to use it’s powerful magic to power the hulking bot. All Phoebe had to do in return was insure that she continue her work to bring progress to all of Valoran and deliver Acadia’s gift of peaceful sleep to all. Desperate to continue her work, Phoebe agreed, and entered the machine. The instant it turned on, Acadia flooded her life chamber with his poison, causing her to experience surge of vitality as her body shut down completely, while her mind remained in-tact and connected to the walker via Acadia’s magic. Convinced in the bliss she felt and the absolute freedom she experienced by having her mind unbound by her weak, frail body, she continued to work on and upgrade her mech with a new goal in mind. To spread the “neural liberation” she felt to all of Valoran, completely blind to the fact that Acadia’s “gift” was none other then a magical poison that drained the vitality of those that come in contact with it to feed Acadia, and slowly make her all the more powerful in the process.
Passive: Rest Mode Phoebe’s spider walker is powered by electromagic batteries that are driven by Acedia’s power. Not moving will cause the batteries power to be diverted from movement to the energy guns mounted on the front, causing all autoattacks to have 50 extra range and deal (25-75) bonus magic damage based on how long they charge, up to 200% max at 3 seconds. Moving will cancel the charge, though Phoebe is slowed by 1% per 2% charge. Moving will cause Charge to drain away at the same rate as it charges so long as Phoebe is in motion. Bonus will be granted to autoattacks until a movement command is issued or Mobilize is activated.
Q: Electrolize Aoe Around Self Radius: 300 Cost: (60/70/80/90/100) Mana Cooldown: (13/12/11/10/9) Seconds Phoebe charges an electrostatic pulse in her walker, slowing herself. When released, the walker generates an electric shockwave in an aoe around her, dealing (100/140/180/220/260)+(40% AP) magic damage and slowing all enemies hit by the discharge for by (10/15/20/25/30%) for 1.5 seconds. Range, damage, and slow increase with charge time, up to a maximum of 150% after 2 seconds.
W: Vaporize Aoe Around Self Radius: 350 Cost: (60/70/80/90/100) Mana Cooldown: (13/11/9/8/7) Seconds Phoebe fires a wave of Acadia’s dark magic from her walker that scorches everything in an aoe around her, dealing (70/100/120/140/160)+(50% AP) magic damage to all enemies and scorching the ground for 3 seconds, dealing (35/50/65/85/110)+(10% AP) magic damage each second to all enemies that walk on it. 220/310/390/540/690+(80% AP)
E: Mobilize Linear Movement: 700 Cost: (50/60/70/80/90) Mana Cooldown: (15/14/13/12/11) Seconds Phoebe actives her walker’s thrusters, causing it to blast in target direction, dealing (100/110/120/130/140) + (60% AP) magic damage and knocking aside all enemies she contacts along the way. This move drains the walkers battery, however, causing it to be unable to move or fire autoattacks for 1 second as it recharges.
R: Acedia’s Gift Aoe Around Self Radius: 650 Cost: (110/120/130) Mana Cooldown: (150/130/110) Seconds Phoebe puts her walker into fortress mode, where it uses Acadia’s power to grant her a (Current Health) + (60% Armor) + (60% Magic Resist) health shield and become immovable (can’t move, activate abilities, or be displaced or knocked-up).
The walker then begin emitting a poisonous cloud of toxin, infused with Acadia’s sloth magic. The smog lasts 5 seconds and spreads out a wide area around Phoebe and deals (15/30/45) + (5% AP) magic damage each half second and slows all enemies caught within the cloud by (25/35/45)% for as long as they remain within the cloud, decaying over 1 second after leaving the cloud. The damage and slow is increased each second up to 200% the normal values over 3 seconds.
