Is Flash Overpowered?

If your interested here's a discussion of why flash is healthy game design. What do you think?

Flash isn't OP imo just because every one can have it.

I'm still pissed they took clarity. I remember how retarded the patch notes were when they took it. "People are just using a few of the summoner spells. We want there to be variety so we're removing the non-popular spells." -Riot

Interesting. I remember a video on YT about the mechanics of Flash and how League is now bound to it. It explained that the game evolved too many of its champions and general mechanics around the fact that Flash was a dominant and exisiting mechanic in the game and that the removal of Flash would only throw the game into chaos, because some champions would inevitabely become obsolete or very underpowered, versus some other champions which would become overpowered beyond mesure.

I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to live without flash. I tried DoTa2, Smite and HotS, none of which have incremented spells or abilities any player can get. Sure, you could get an item or ability that gave you a blink or dash through items or abilities (Combat Blink in Smite or Blink on Nova in HotS, for example) but those are choices that affect your build path. In league, everybody has it regardless, and I found myself out of position so too often when playing those other games from my habit of being Flash reliant in League..

I still think they should buff the other summs a bit. I personally feel like the TP nerfs were uncalled for, but that's just my opinion.

Its not the worst thing ever, it is an engaging summoner spell, but it does limit options because it's practically mandatory on 96% of champions.

Considering how many players never take Flash off their Summoner Spells once it's unlocked, I'm beginning to wonder if perhaps Flash could be set as a sort of default spell with a dedicated key, freeing up the other Summoner Spell slot to make use of some of the more underused ones.
