Riot Games - League of Legends sandbox playtesting.
Hello everyone !
So ever since League of Legends was released, Players started requesting a Sandbox Type game mode which resulted in Riot declining the idea each and every time a player would ask them about It. However, around a year ago Riot started seeing a future in the "Sandbox" mode the community wanted to have and instead decided to make it a custom personal game mode where you were able to try out a champion's abilities, combos, or to mainly train on your mains.
Which was eventually called "The Practice Tool"
The Idea seemed pleasant to most of the community and to myself (I can finally practice my Lee combos without having to show people how terrible I am in normal games ! :D) but I am quite sure that It isn't what most players had requested. After reading some of the old threads that requested a sandbox mode before it even came out, I've noticed that people wanted a mode that was like, Riot Playtesting. (See the video linked if you can't visualize that)
For example, those crazy ideas like taking the baron nashor model on champions like Ezreal and running down Mid lane spamming Qs all over the place. which was basically being able to completely and entirely mod the game to yourself in a custom sandbox game mode. I have myself tried and tested out a fan made version of this which was not very known I suppose, but still looked like what some players thought would have been fun to be added as a special personal game mode in the game.
The video is quite old as the game mode was developped back in August 2014, So about 3 years ago basically and It only features Model changes and champion stat changes. (The custom mod was removed a few years ago)
Giving the ability to do whatever within the game to players in a custom game that can only be accessed by the player who created it would not only be fun, but would give more diversity than the current "Sandbox" game mode riot decided to release
Take my examples: -being able to exactly place minions in a place without them moving. -Allowing players to change character stats and test more stuff that they would like to try out -The ability of putting more than 4 Training Dummies (I mean why would it be set to 4 maximum target dummies i wanted to try out a 5-man Lee Sin Kick :C) -Just being able to set everything however you want to basically.
Additionally being able to use the old models, old champions kits, old items, etc.. (Not entirely related to Sandbox but would still bring some nostalgia back) (I also know this has been adressed in an Ask Riot Episode where they mentionned that it would take quite a lot of work)
TL;DR/My Request:
Is that Riot reworks the Practice Tool into a Sandbox game mode with alot more diversity and modding capabilities with commands and options within the game (Such as setting character stats, changing and being able to mod everything in a personal game for yourself) in order to practice or test out some more stuff withing the game with more diversity.
PS: You can't even respawn Gromp or Wolves in this Practice Tool lul
Man League would feel complete to me if this happened <3
######I Really Hope Riot Notices This Thread ;--;
EDIT: There are also a lot of other points I did not mention because the Thread would be too long, Please Upvote this if you liked the idea so Riot would notice it ! :D
Thank you for reading. Yours truly. Etherim (EUW)
