I admit, I got this idea from another post which I saw just a little while ago. I believe they wanted to create local version of LoL because they don't like 'what League has become.'

This got me thinking. What if Riot gave players the chance to download archived versions of the source code for the game based on prior patch iterations?

As I mentioned to this other person, the real problem would be with not having enough people who have that specific patch applied to their client in order to actually play any games. Also, they would either need to have their own server in order to broadcast the game under that specific patch, OR Riot would need to have a dedicated server that can run older versions. Ultimately, I don't see this happening, but I thought it was an interesting idea. Maybe, if enough people wanted it, Riot could work something out.

This post was deleted from Gameplay, and recommended to post on Concepts & Creations, .. I don't really see how this is a concept/creation because it has nothing to do with the design of the game. Instead it is in my opinion gameplay because it would essentially lead to a different gameplay based on which patch you have installed. ... Whatever, just sharing (or now, re-sharing) my idea.
