Living in Demacia was not always what the nobility made it seem like. It wasn’t all glorious and shining, there was poverty, and there was crime. In a small town on the edge of the countryside, a young girl, her mother, and her two sisters worked to make the most wonderful garden. They hoped that one day, a Demacian noble would pass the town and see the flowers and hire the family to work at their garden. The youngest of the girls was D’lilah, She had the best green thumb of the family and every flower she touched would perk up almost instantly. She would spend hours talking to the plants for they were her only friends, until she found a small yellow insect flying around the plants, jumping from flower to flower. She loved how much these bees appreciated the flowers and so she began following them around, trying to do what they did. Things took a drastic turn when a Noxian army marched toward the town. Without help from that army, the town was sure to be destroyed. The town was left in ruins, D’lilah was the only surviving member of the impoverished family. The Demacian army was not quick enough to save the town and D’lilah hated them for it. However, she forced herself to never give up on her family's dreams. Eventually she developed the ability to communicate with the bees and they would help her pollinate the flowers she wanted, allowing her to cross species of plants. 10 year passed and D’lilah was one of Demacia’s most popular herbology scientists She took the responsibility for creating multiple new strains of flowers that make Demacia shine like never before. Government officials took notice of her skill and asked her to join a group of generals in their mission to infiltrate a Noxian camp that was in a dense, dangerous forest. She joined the ranks with Lux, Garen, and Xin Zou. She saved them multiple times from poisonous plants, and man eating catcher plants, demonstrating her value to the team. While she still didn't trust them, she began letting her guard down, having a little faith that they would protect her if danger approached. Then, a hooded assassin, and a redhead woman with daggers appeared from the treetops and ambushed them. The group ran into the depths of the forest. Daggers and blades whizzed past the group. D’lilah ran as fast as she could however she felt herself falling behind the others. She screamed for them to slow down for her, but they never did. A dagger struck her in the chest and she fell to the ground. The two assassins kept moving, leaving her there to die. She called to the bees in the forest. They began stinging her, however the poison didn’t kill her. She had built up an immunity to the toxins. Instead it mixed with her blood. It strengthened her heart, it kept pumping. She passed out from the pain. D’lilah woke up and saw the world from a new perspective. Her eyes were glazed over with a thick hard membrane, making the world more detailed. Her fingers had sharp claws on them. The most noticeable change was the new wings on her back. She looked around and saw millions of bees. They were flying around, collecting things for their new queen. D’lilah was now the queen of the swarm. She would use this new power to get revenge, not on the assassins who killed her, but the Demacians who let her down twice. “Feel the sting, of revenge. Let it’s toxins run through your veins like a hot tar,”-D’lilah. Passive: Hive- D’lilah can summon a hive on a turret. This hive will summon worker bees every 20 seconds, who will roam the map, collecting pollen and bring it back to the hive. This will heal, restore mana, provide small amounts of experience, and gold to D’lilah. Worker bees have 5 hits and if killed will give its collected loot to the killer. Worker bees only provide vision when being attacked. Swarm- If D’lilah is attacked in range of the hive, a swarm will come out from the Hive and attack the thing that has attacked D’liah. The swarm deals (40,80,160,320+80% of ability power) magic damage as a poison over 3 seconds. (Damage increases at levels 6,11,18) 10 second cooldown.

Q: Poison Barb- (40,45,50,55,60) Mana: D’lilah’s next attack does a bonus (80,120,160,200,240+ 50% of ability power) if the target does not die D’lilah can reactivate the spell, dealing an addition bleed of (2%,4%,6%,8%,10%) of max health as magic damage over 3 seconds, at the cost of (20,30,40,50,60) of her health.

W: Wasps- 70 Mana: D’lilah summons a wasp minion. This minion has 50% of D’lilah’s current health and deals (40,80,120,160,200+ 40% of AP) as magic damage and applies Grievous Wounds each time it attacks. The wasp loses 5% of it’s health each time it attacks. It’s attack speed is the same as D’lilah’s. It will target whoever is closest to it, or a champion afflicted with poison.

E: Flowering Taste- Passive: Flowers will spawn around D’lilah every 5 seconds (affected by cooldown reduction)and last for 180 seconds. D’lilah can step on a flower to gain the buff Take Flight gaining a movement speed boost (5%,10%,15%,20%,25%) and can move through units and fly over terrain for 3 seconds. and will place a bumblebee on the the flower.if an enemy steps on the flower, they are revealed for 5 seconds, and if the flower has a bumblebee on it, Swarm is activated (only deals half damage) and the enemy is slowed by (10%,20%,30%,40%,50%) for 4 seconds. *Note: Stepping on flowers will take 25 mana away. If D’lilah has no mana then flowers stop spawning and nearby flowers will die. Flying over terrain takes away 60 Mana and will end Take Flight immediately.

R: Sweet as Honey- 100 Mana: Spawns a large puddle of honey for (12,14,16) seconds slowing all units by (30%,40%,50%) This includes D’lilah unless she has Take Flight active. Those in the circle for 2 seconds will be taunted to attack the nearest target for 5 seconds. After being taunted the target is confused for 3 seconds reducing their damage output by (20%,30%,40%)and will be taunted again unless out of the circle in 3 seconds. Units can only be taunted twice. All champions, minions, and normal monsters can be affected.

Gameplay: Lane Phase: D’lilah’s unique moves make her the perfect champion to freeze a lane. Her passive makes it worth it to just sit in lane and farm in order for her to build up. Her ult provides an amazing counter to tower diving (because even if she ults herself, she is under her tower and enemies are also stuck there for at least 5 seconds.) Her Swarm allows her to safely hide under turret, while her worker bees collect supplies for her to heal up and keep fighting. She can also summon a wasp to help zone her opposing laner away from the farm and under their own tower.

Team Fights: In team fights D’lilah can struggle with providing reliable damage due to her E requiring time to take full effect, and the likely lack of a hive to provide a swarm in case of things going wrong. Despite the lack of damage, she still can be pivotal in protecting the marksmen by placing her ult on them (in hopes that the assassin will be shredded down.) be careful not to be close to an ally however or you will be seeing some friendly fire. While an ally can not kill you, they can bring you down to 15% health, making you easy to pick off.

Strengths: D’lilah provides an easy to lane with champion that can handle assassins fairly well with her kit. With her swarm protecting her under tower and her ult stopping assassins dead in her tracks, she can do what she does best and hold a lane. She can also escape ganks and engages with her Take Flight allowing her to quickly get away and even go over terrain.

Weakness: Unless the team fight is in a lane she won’t pose as much impact. Her flowers take a whiles to grow so they provide unreliable zoning and damage, along with making escape in case the teamfight goes downhill, hard to do.
