Boards needs an auto-ban system to prevent scams from being posted in the first place

(Not to be confused with the Autobahn) If you paste certain links, prevent the thread/comment from even being placed, and put a 1 hour forum ban on the person and a red flag for the mods. The mods can check what they were posting within that time and send you a notification for why they are extending the ban (or worse) or they remove the remainder of the ban and warn them not to post that type of content and why.

This would instantly prevent the "rewards" website scams from being posted and spread around so much. This system could also be used in the client so anyone spreading links through there would be stopped as well.

Keywords not contained in a link could also be added as new scam trends popped up, so changing the name (from like scamsite.com to scamsite dot com) wouldn't consistently work. Automatic censoring might not be a popular idea for general use, but against spreading scams there should be no issue.

Great idea, no idea why this isn't implemented yet ;-;

If Riot's worried about false bans, just prevent them from posting the thread and send the content to the mods to clear it or ban

I'm pretty sure they must already have some of this, or the forums would constantly be bombarded with "buy accounts/powerleveling at <insert scummy site with obfuscated URL>" spam from low-level "burner" accounts. Whenever there's a new scam it's a new site, so somebody has to manually verify what's going on and update the filters.

Scam links should be a perma ban. They show an utter lack of integrity by the summoner, and that's something that league should be rooting out at it's core. The only thing worse than a lack of integrity is the verbal abuse / life threatening that happens inside games ( which riot really doesn't seem to take seriously)

I got banned (for a while) just for mentioning the name of a scam website (I didn't know that constituted posting a link to it) and saying in the same post that it was a scam. I'm not the only one something like that has ever happened to, so, I can't really vouch for a fully automatic process unless Riot is a bit clearer about how they don't want anyone to even mention these scams. As it was, I thought I was being helpful by pointing out exactly what they meant when Riot was issuing vague warnings about how people needed to be careful (which obviously weren't working when people in game were unwittingly spamming the fraud link everywhere).
