[SUGGESTION!] Disqus Format up/down-voting

Hi, I just wanted to suggest that the up votes and down vote numbers should be shown instead of a total score (or maybe both). I use this discussion website for a manga that I read and it shows you the count for both up and downvotes individually.

like so:

3 ^ | 6 v

Personally I see no point in doing a system like that, an overall observation of the community's disposition towards a topic shows the same information with less clutter.

-3 shows the same thing as 3 ^ | 6 v in a much clearer and more concise way, imo.

While I agree that this format would help see the division of opinions, it kinda defeats the point of having, at a glance, an idea of the "score/value" of a post. I like the simpler score format that is going on now.

What do you all think about some integrated approach? still show the main total score, but then smaller next to it, show the #ups #downs.

The danger here would be mainly visual clutter I think, but I'm sure they could stream line it at least to some degree.

What do you think?

I like it because it sorts out everything pretty well.

Yes please. The devs should set up a dual-monitor station, one without RES (reddit enhancement suite), and one with the most popular options enabled. Which feels better? Go ask random Rioters (who aren't involved in the coding of this project) that you know go on Reddit a lot (any Reddit, not just the heroes on /r/league) which they think is better. Chances are a ton use RES already.

Separate up/downvotes is one of the options that a majority of people turn on. I want to see how many upvotes and downvotes there are along with the aggregate score.
(Please not "total votes", we're just gonna calculator.exe to find the up/downvotes anyway, so just show them disparately for us.)
