Discussions are only 620px wide? Are you kidding me?

Was this site designed for the 2004 web, back before widescreen monitors were a thing?

Yes, the avatars are small and people will complain about customization, and threaded comments. None of that matters when I can only see 2-3 comments on my screen at a time.

Luckily, support for flexible width layouts in webpages has existed for decades now, and newer responsive design techniques using media queries allow for some really graceful page sizing techniques. Here, let me put some CSS on that: http://userstyles.org/styles/93053/new-lol-community-free-the-width

There, was that so hard?

Interesting, for me its easier on the eyes to read something that is less wide (like a book) then it is for me to read something that is very wide. For example, I use a widescreen display but only view web articles at half-width or less.

Do you find yourself reading pages full screen usually?

Agreed. I don't understand why designers insist on making everything so constrained. I get that they want a fancy background -- but content that only takes a third of the screen is a waste.

Could you post a screenshot of your changes? I find the current view better because it eliminates all the empty white space.
