[Suggestion] Alternate use for Chronological View (pictures inside)

In its current form, the flat/chronological view is pretty useless. It's difficult to tell what people are talking about and who they're talking to because you're viewing everyone replying to a number of different nests all at once.

I think a better way to use the feature would be with a "view discussion" button. Let me show you what I mean.

Say you've got a big thread with a lot of people talking in it. Eventually you have nests within nests, and you see this button:

What if it were replaced with this:

And clicking on it opens a flat view for that one nest.

Of course, you don't have to get rid of the old button if you enjoy going down the rabbit hole of nests within nests within nests. You could probably just stick this button next to the "Show More" button.

And maybe inside the flat view posts that aren't quoting anything are understood to be replying to the post you clicked "View Discussion" for while posts that are replies to replies have the post they're referring to quoted forum style.
