Rioter Responses

Knowing that every question/comment on the boards can't be answered by Riot I was thinking that there could at least be a feature added for those that can't be answered due to time constraints. For instance a seen by Rioter icon in the corner of the comment, or an answered elsewhere icon(because frankly people ask a lot of repetitive questions not having looked if it was answered already, or knowing how to find it). Just a quick suggestion and a seemingly simple change that I feel could greatly impact the community.

Greetings.

I know that pretty much everyone loves to see Rioters participate in discussions and simply show presence, but frankly, it's rare that it is really needed.

The community already does a really good job at answering questions and helping others. So for the sake of just answering players' questions, I don't really feel like Riot is needed.

Players often request Rioters to answer on current controversal topics. For example Dynamic Q, the banned Singed Support, or the removal of Normal Draft often caused players to demand Riot's attention.

While I agree that Riot should be faster with giving answers, doing so on the Boards can be quite risky. Not every Rioter knows stuff about player behavior, or champion design.

Additionally it's really hard for a Rioter to express a personal opinion, because it will be taken as an official statement by some.

To conclude, in my opinion more than 99% of Boards posts do not require any attention by Rioters, this feature would serve more to satisfy players' by making them think their thread had a bigger impact.

I've also noticed that posts that get Red Comments tend to explode with direct questions to the active Riot employee.

To in turn respond to every question posted thereafter would be endless, and frankly impossible.

However, as frustrating as this is, in my experience, Rioters have a tenancy to comment on posts that are a bit more light, or less official. I would assume this is for the same reason that TorpedoSheep mentioned. Their comments ARE taken as official statements, and could absolutely hurt the integrity of the employee or company if proven false.
