Take a good look Riot

First, I need you to look at the best boards discussion page ever. (I'm not sorry for the pun) http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/ If you look at all of the discussions with over 1k upvotes, you will see that some of them haven't been answered by Riot. There isn't a Riot icon next to their name. 2 of the 3 are about getting refunds per season, and if a rioter bothered to look, they would see that it has evolved into a discussion. Isn't that what you wanted? The final one is about implementing a mercy system into LoL. This is a great idea in my eyes, but it hasn't been seen by a single rioter. 1000+ People want the Mercy thing implemented, and hoped that Riot has seen it, and would respond about how they are working on it, or why they think it is a bad idea. But there are no comments from any Rioter, and the refunds, which have OVER 2500 UPVOTES, which is the MOST upvoted thread in ALL of the boards, has STILL not gotten a SINGLE rioter comment. Not a SINGLE rioter comment about why they don't want to do this. I want somebody on the Riot team to please at least check out the these 3 threads, and comment on them. The community has already spoken, and Riot is always talking about the experience in playing LoL. The community is trying to make a real difference here, and Riot seems to be ignoring that.

The list of threads with over 1k+ Upvotes: (R) = Riot comment

  1. "3 Refunds per season, upvote if you want 3 refunds per season."

  2. "Open Letter to Parents of League of Legends Players" (R) - Not even a letter to Riot, just a logical letter to Parents of LoL playing kids.

  3. "3 Refunds per season, upvote if you want 3 refunds per season." (Notice: This is a thread made by a different person from the first one)

  4. "It's Time -You- Listen Riot:" (R) - Complaints about the Forums experience. If you click first Rioter Comment, it has so much hate, you need to go about 3 or 4 riot comments in to actually see the first one that isn't under what is usually considered under the Threshhold (I know, that's a horrible pun. Its the last one, I promise)

  5. "A completely serious, totally legit question for Riot." (R) - A completely serious question for Statikk Shyvana (Shyv)

  6. "[Champion Concept] DhaMa, The Force of Balance" (R) - Champion Concept, partial inspiration for the champion Kindred

  7. "There was a Red Post a while back." (R) - A post about how the game is changing, in some ways for worse.

  8. "Yes plz." - The Mercy system. Basically if you have an AFK, the winning team might give mercy, and then the team given Mercy will lose less LP and won't count against promotionals

1/3. (I decided to put these together.) - 3 Refunds per season, because sometimes we make bad choices. This has evolved in the discussions and comments to 1 refund per season, which can be saved up for a max of Gasp 3 refunds. A Zilean (I LIED) years have passed... well... 5 months... and the threads about actually implementing anything new into the game (Mercy/Refunds) have been completely ignored by Riot. Please Riot, look at these threads, and tell the community how you feel. Even if we hate it, at least we know that we can be heard on an important topic such as these.

Just because someone gets lots of upvotes doesn't mean Riot needs to give them more attention than anyone else.

They have to limit where they post, because their presence alone can easily derail a topic. They may have even addressed the topic elsewhere before (you can't honestly expect them to reply every time it's brought up), or they might not even be allowed to speak on the subject and all the answer would do is make people angry.

  1. Isn't their concern. If it's for parents, Riot already did their part and submitted the game to ESRB for a Teen rating.

  2. Isn't their concern. Refunds may be nice, but they shouldn't have to hold players hands when purchasing skins. I used mine too, and I don't really miss them.

  3. May be valid. Most people don't take into consideration that most game developers offer zero interaction with their player base once a game is live, so the fact that things are even reaching Riot is a step further than most.

  4. Questions should be submitted through support tickets. I've never had one which wasn't answered, and I once complained about AFKs ruining my experience.

  5. Was apparently heard in some capacity if it spawned Kindred.

  6. Due to coding and second/third order effects, no immediate changes can be expected to arrive. Just because we don't see a fix right now doesn't mean one isn't being considered. Why would they say there's a fix coming when it could be too hard to complete right now?

  7. Never going to happen. Ranked would turn into a beg-fest in all chat where players just beg the other team not to kill their promo series. Good natured chaps might be inclined to always vote yes for mercy.
