Dear Rioters,

Thank you so much for coming up with the new design for community stuff here and for the PBE. I started reading the forums from when I first started playing LoL about two years ago, searching for information about what I needed to learn and how to do basic things. In the last couple months, that's changed a lot, where now I read external sites like the LoL subreddit, Reign of Gaming, and Surrender@20, and I check the community and the Red Tracker for the main forums. It's been a real education to see some of the developer posts dealing people upset about something in GD, and I am so grateful that I can learn about people's concerns and ideas without having to wade through such enormous amounts of bile. There are amazing people in the LoL community, and it's wonderful to see how things can be under a different design. There will surely be threads where people are upset in this format too, but they're much more likely to be threads that rise due to genuine concern/anger over issues rather than people just trying to stoke a fire and bump their own posts.

So, everybody who's had a hand in putting together the new community design, thank you so much for creating a corner of the internet which is a much better place.

The negative threads that you're talking about are non-existent. Instead, it's contained almost completely as comments within the pinned post before the current one introducing the Community Beta forums. Sadly, most of them weren't very constructive and consisted primarily of different variations of "Stop trying to be Reddit. It sucks."

The genuinely constructive feedback are the posts that you see from time to time suggested changes or alterations here and there instead dumping the entire system by players who never really gave it a chance.

It feels good to know that there are at least some players out there willing to actually give the Community style a go before shooting it down.

You are my savior. :'D
