@Riot: what's the point of having a ''popularity voted board'' if you ignore the complicated topics?

Dear Reds,

If I am not mistaken, the whole idea of moving away from the forums and into this board was to allow users' vote to help define which topics were important and which topics weren't. While that system is far from perfect it does have it's benefit, now you can effortlessly identify what's annoying a huge number of players and give them some sort of feedback fairly fast.

Since that's the case, why I am getting the impression that complicated topics don't get a single comment out of the Rioters? I have seen plenty topics with more than 40/50 up-votes and 300 posts that don't manage to grasp the attention of a single Riot employee. With the new system these topics are really hard to miss... so why don't we see any red responses?

I find it extremely disappointing seeing reds routinely answer mundane topics, but when people come here to express their concerns (whenever it's about skins, gameplay or lore) then they get the cold shoulder. Does that mean we have no reliable way of contacting Riot at all?

If that's the case, then why create this system to begin with?

Yours faithfully, ~ CardboxFrog.

This holds especially true after Pendragon just made his PSA about voting more to help identify what's important and smite what isn't.

This is pretty typical of Riot in general. That said, Krylhos seems to at least show up if it is about the Boards.

I'm not certain why you thought new forums meant this would change. I mean, things have been stickied on GD for weeks and been ignored simply because the topic didn't seem like an easy win for them. And considering how fast GD flows, that is a feat in and of itself. Riot hasn't really talked to this community since Magma chamber, so I mean its nothing new that they aren't talking now.

By the way, Kitae got Randuin'ed. She works in champ balance now. Who knows who the lore lead now, or the mess that Kitae left for her.

tl;dr - the Community Management at Riot rarely if ever happens, and when it does it is to one of three tunes; Either to @sskissing, or to belittle speakers/points, or to apologize about something that is an obviously huge failure and cannot be ignored.

A lot of those posts are written by people with a hot head, and a lot of the people who comment on them increase the (perceived, anyway) already negative attitude towards Rioters in those threads. For the most part, a Red post in there is equivalent to dropping lighter fluid onto a BBQ in full swing. It'd probably just end with the Rioter being backed into a corner by commenters with no real way out-it's very rarely a good idea for them to answer in those threads. Most of the time they either can't give us the information we ask for anyway, because they don't know it or aren't allowed to share it.

Besides all of that, by the time we hear about changes, it's usually beyond the point of us having an influence on the outcome anyway.

I feel your pain, mate. I truly do.

I've created plenty of threads like the one which you've linked and it still didn't manage to attract any red attention - no matter how many people contributed to the discussion. We don't know if they even read those threads, the least they could do is to leave some kind of response.

Topics with no comments and no thumb ups appeared on the ''hot'' page... http://i.imgur.com/LZVt0IZ.png

Any reason why this one with a handful of upvotes didn't? :/
