Post stalking

So I was surfing the Boards, doing normal forum stuff like debating balance, spaghetti and stuff.

At one point, I accidentally clicked on someone else's user name, and realized that it showed me their posting history.

...I don't think I'm the only person who would be bothered by this discovery. It was irritating enough on the old forums, when activity was slow enough that a person could surf every thread on the main page and downvote/quote stalk someone with multiple accounts. Now, they don't even have to look, and you get notified of every single reply.

So, erm, why exactly are we now allowed to stalk someone's account like this? It's difficult enough to argue with people who are being perfectly reasonable. It's a little more irritating receiving "anonymous" downvotes on everything you've commented in the past few hours because someone didn't like you or your argument.

Wait, you're saying this is a bad thing? This is one of my favorite features on the Boards, and it's something I really feel Riot needs to expand in order for the platform to flourish.

My morale is not dictated by the up vote button. I recommend taking on the same mental attitude. I don't look to argue, but have a discussion and frankly if it turns into an argument, I'm not longer interested in the discussion.

I think how its used might make a difference in how its seen. I like the feature, it lets me know who I'm talking to. It IS however recently bothering me some as I see some people trolling/disrupting and basically lying. There's no sincerity in what they post and its pretty much all contempt for Riot. They're not here to better the community or the game, they're here to try to destroy it, disrupt conversation, and spread their hatred. It is disturbing to me that they are not only dissatisfied, but it seems their life mission is to ruin things, rather than walk away from what they dislike they have set their goal as bringing as much pain and misery upon the devs, the company, the people that may have reported them.

I don't think anyone is "allowed" to stalk, it just another abuse that people misuse......if you can prove it, I think support would actually do something about it. The one time that I got a response from a real person was when I felt my account was threatened. It turned out to be a prank by a friend who had changed their name, but it freaked me out. A few minutes later when I returned to revoke my report, there was a very quick reply from a real person.
