I have heard very many rumors about there being new provisional placement games for season four. I am unsure as to if this is a true statement or false. I am happy with my current division for i feel i belong where i am so therefore i would not like to move. If anyone can clear this up for me that would be awesome! thanks
if you belong in your division then you will be able to get back into it.
its most likely going to be a soft reset so your previous mmr will be counter in the placements.
How will our ranked status change as the time approaches from pre season 4 to season 4?
Yes there will be new placement matches when season 4 starts. But the thing is, Riot is doing another soft reset of our ranked mmr. Meaning that when s4 starts you go into your placement matches with whatever your mmr (after reset) is at the end of preseason.
So basically you will probably get placed in your current division if you do well and not lose all your placement matches. Heck you can possibly place even higher than where you are now if you do really well.
so what you are saying is that there will be placement matches but there is a very little chance that you will fall into a lower tier/division from the matches?
