As part of our Countdown to Worlds, lolesports.com celebrates the best players at the World Championship.

#6 - Froggen

Team - Alliance
Region - Europe
Position - Mid
Signature Champions

Froggen and his handpicked Alliance squad came out swinging in the 2014 EU LCS Summer Split, managing to sit pretty at the top of the standings all split. Thanks to his excellent leadership and top-notch mechanics, the veteran mid laner was able to dominate throughout the regular season and eventually go on to become the MVP of the EU LCS Summer Playoffs.

Known in large part for his famous Anivia play, Froggen keeps games interesting with his unorthodox strategies, deep champion pool, and unique builds. His innovative play led him to the top of the KDA charts for three LCS splits in a row, and his dedication to League is encouraging even to other top tier pro players.

Fnatic looked nigh untouchable, with four consecutive wins against defending World Champions TPA, eliminating them from the tournament. They went on to just barely losing out to tournament winners World Elite, who was at that time at the height of their power. Though Rekkles looked like the best ADC in the world during that tournament, Fnatic would lose him for a year due to the age restriction on the LCS.

After failing to make it to Worlds last year, Froggen seems more determined than ever to lead his team to an amazing showing at this year's Championship, and prove himself on an international level.

#5 - Uzi

Team - Star Horn Royal Club
Region - China
Position - ADC
Signature Champions

The world is still reeling from Jian “Uzi” Zihao’s performance at the 2013 World Championship. If Faker was the standout mid laner of the tournament, Uzi was the AD carry to be reckoned with.

Uzi returns to the World Championship this year under Star Horn Royal Club with all new teammates. And instead of farming for the late game and shooting holes in the offense, Star Horn is all about taking early risks and diving into fights over early dragons. Uzi often leads the charge, but his raw mechanical skill and the aid of his team keep him safe.

During 2014 LPL Summer, Uzi had the highlight play of the split, almost single-handedly taking out the entire team of Invictus Gaming and picking up a 3v5 pentakill for his troubles.

StarHorn Royal Club will chase you down and catch you, and if you fall under Uzi’s crosshairs, only a swift reaction can save you.

Methinks there was a copy-paste error in the making of this article.

Wait is it just me or did they repeat a part of what they said for Rekkles' analysis onto froggen's analysis.

Ahhhh I remember the good old days when Froggen was on Fnatic and he and Rekkles defeated TPA and almost beat WE. I 100% that Froggen and Fnatic were going to win worlds but I guess things just don't work out the way we plan
