Screen locked during low priority queue timer [NOT A BUG!]

Probably posting in wrong sub-forum.

Ran into this today. Queued with someone on low priority (don't know why, didn't ask, don't care). While the timer was counting down, my screen was locked up. The only way to use chat, or anything else, was to leave queue (resetting the timer).

Would it be possible to not lock out the rest of the client while waiting for the count-down?
