Why Can't Riot Track IP Adresses for Hackers like Steam Does?

My account has been hacked two times, and now it's been permabanned due to the hacker being toxic in games. Last time I tried to confirm with Riot that I'm the account holder, they couldn't say if I was or not. I'm thinking that they could find and punish whoever it was that hacked my account by tracing any IP addresses linked to my account that aren't in my area. I know that Steam can do this as it happened to me once and told me the IP address that tried to login to my account. If you see this Riot, please let me know why you can't or if you will be able to in the future.

Btw, I have no clue why I'm allowed to post on boards when my account's been permabanned.

Because: A; your account was not hacked, you just gave away the password to some disreputable person/site. I can guarantee that if someone knew how to hack the riot servers (they dont), we (and riot) would know about it by now. B; IP addresses can be changed by pressing the power button on your router, and usually change overnight automatically.

Solution: Dont give away your password.

MagicFlyingLlama said it better than anyway I could. But, they can, but they wont, because of liability issues. Dont give your password to www.freeriotpointz.scam

I wouldn't mind Riot notifying the player about another IP trying to use one's account, it's always better to have safer options.

But aye, did you change the passwords into a more secure one after the first compromise, for both your client's and whatever your registration email account's as well? You really should if you didn't.

Also run regular sweeps with your antivirus or something, in case fishy things are in your computer.

And, visit less dodgy sites. And when you do because for whatever research reasons, always do sweeps and other protection methods. Or better yet, just stop visiting them.

And never give or mention your password to anybody else, ever.
