Unpopular opinion

This community has become very soft, I get that people who got banned come here to complain "omfg got perma because I was wishing cancer to everybody and trolled everytime someone didnt do what I wanted reeeeeee" but I now see people coming here and complaining about stuff like these:

"I was called a feeding piece of shit for being 0-10 in lane, how do we stop toxic people?", "I was called a noob and retarded for having 40% win rate on my main champion", or making threads saying "You should be permabanned if you even show the slightest aggressiveness towards me" and the most hypocritical type of thread "I enjoy reporting people and seeing them getting permabanned".

I'm a sociopath I don't care about my team and I won't hesitate to wish death to others or flame them to hell, the only reason I dont is because I'm gonna get permabanned and my account is worth more than some random stranger who fucked my game. I'm talking on behalf of almost every flamer here, it doesnt matter what you say or how you threaten them ( permaban, no rewards etc ) because toxic players arent gonna change, they will still feel the urge to flame the shit out of everyone but a majority of them will learn to control it to avoid getting banned.

I believe and I say again that this is an unpopular opinion, that the people who claim to be "above" flamers and report them ( not the normal people who report because someone literally trolled, griefed or ruined the game for them ) for the sake of getting them banned are as toxic as flamers but they dont show the toxicity through words in the game. They display it by using an automated system to pass judgement on other people.

Also I will try to explain my point here. You can't change the community, you need to change the game. League is so toxic not because of the people but because the game itself is toxic. You can't put 5 complete strangers together for 30 minutes and make it so that 1 person can hold the other 4 hostages or destroy the teams effort simply because he can. This makes the players frustrated because its out of their control and they will get punished with loss of MMR, time, progress. Not to mention that ranked puts players under heavy stress because they will always think "Even if I do perfectly fine my team can fuck it up and it wont matter how good I am because I'm not faker". Its the same as being in a group project in college and 2 of the 5 people dont do anything and you have to do their part of the work. Its frustrating and breeds hatred.

The game already has a mute button but riot still focuses more on chat than real griefing. Another popular game had a forum where you could post replays from a game and tell them the minute where someone was shown trolling or griefing and a real person would hand out punishment, they didnt have to watch it all, just the minute where someone breaks the rules. I don't believe that riot cant hire some people just to watch 2 minute videos everyday and pass judgement.

Thank you for your downvotes

P.S I'm not banned because I know how to follow rules just saying, you can check my match history if you dont believe me.

...because toxic players arent gonna change, they will still feel the urge to flame the shit out of everyone but a majority of them will learn to control it to avoid getting banned.

That's fine then. As long as that behavior isn't in the game, the system is working as intended. This is, legitimately, a case that I'd mark down as a great success.

Riot isn't a therapist or an anger management counselor, and wanting to say toxic things is, frankly, your right. Riot, however, has the right to tell you you can't do that on their platform, so having those feelings and controlling them or finding another outlet for them because they're not appropriate for League chat is a success.

You avoid being toxic because you know you'll end up banned.

Seems like the system is working!

Nice job Riot!

For the record, we don't care if you're pissed off, punching walls, or screaming to yourself. If you're keeping it out of the game then the system has done its job.

This really sounds like you're shifting the blame from people who are harassing in game to people that are harassed.

I'm a sociopath and I won't hesitate to wish death to others or flame them to hell

a sociopath, by definition, wouldn't care enough to bother

The game already has a mute button

the mute button exists as a last resort against toxicity, not as a convenient excuse for it's existence

much like having kevlar does not make using bullets ok

it's always better to have a shield and not need to use it

I can agree with you to an extent.

I find it a little odd that you finished this with

"I'm not banned because I know how to follow the rules"

It is easy, isn't it?

Hell, I've even had a few rounds where I got heated in chat and said some things that I would have reported someone for saying.

But I haven't received any punishment either.

Maybe, ... the people who are actually getting banned aren't like the two of us. ... maybe, ... they really are significantly more toxic.

Otherwise, why cant they follow the rules?

Sociopaths who declare their condition on public forums make me moist.
