Other players behaviors and how they affect players

Okay... so this probably sounds like a really annoying rant

And when I talk about this, I'm not saying that I am innocent, because I AM NOT!

I feel like that the league community has really gotten a lot more toxic. Granted, I spent 1/3 of my time playing league to get to level 30 (1 year, before they changed the leveling up systems) I have still spent a lot of time around the level 30 area. This is where the more toxic players exist in my opinion. So, I am gonna rant about it. And like I said before, I AM NOT INNOCENT! I will admit it now, I have been punished a LOT (7 bans and a few chat mutes) by the tribunal, and I think I 100% deserved it. Right you, you can disagree with this whole thread because of my experience with punishment from the community. But, that still doesn't mean I'm wrong. I actually just read a thread about someone leaving the community due to the level of toxicity, and I have to say, I could probably a person to blame for their reason. But that thread really made me think how much other players have been toxic to me, and how I feel like such an asshole for being toxic to others. Now, ME being toxic is different than ANOTHER player being toxic, I will give examples. I used to just get really salty at my teams, but I would never have excuses for my own mistakes, and I would just say that a champ is OP, not that I don't know how to verse that champ. Overall, I would take it too far and then that would result to punishment after a few games. Now, my bans were around 1 year ago, and I'm pretty sure I haven't been punished since then. The main point of this 'rant' is that I would really like to talk about 1 type of toxic player (well, two, because there are two different versions of this player). And I am NOT SAYING there are other really bad types of players out there (like me ofc). So, the main reason I ran into one of these players was due to my friend. I guess he played a game with this player (I will not state their username) and added him on his friend list. Well, when I ended up playing with this guy, he wasn't just toxic. He's that type of guy who thinks he can harass any player due to their rank (EVEN IF THEY ARE BETTER THAN HIM!). Well, I was a lower rank than him (still am lol) and all he would do is just harass me for every mistake. Well, I decided that I would suffer through countless more games with this player, and he just got worse. Then he started to make jokes about things like 9/11, the Holocaust, and things that are too far (And I do NOT agree with these types of slurs). Well, somehow, he started to main Katarina and got to diamond 5. This made him even WORSE because he thinks he is better than every player. I know this is really only geared toward this player, but there are also the players that mean these 9/11, etc. comments. This guy thinks it's all a joke. Let me know what you guys think...

Usually its the champion not the player.

I just played against a Pantheon on the enemy team who was top lane against our Kayle he was also premade with Graves and Soraka in bot.... you can imagine how hard graves and pantheon were flaming when it was 4v5 and I asked for someone on their team to sit out.

Try to go in with a reeeeally positive attitude, sounds hard but if a hard 4$$ like me can do it, any1 can :D creating a friendly atmosphere right from minute 0 or even champ select can go a long way. Sustain that and support your team mates all throughout will also prove very fruitful, from my experience. Saying good job after a nice play, a kill, a tower taken down, stuff like that, really helps with the moral. Harassing them does the opposite and can tank a really good team/ship. Even if someone is starting to get tilted, you can still say it's ok, relax, we got this etc and then sit back and watch the miracle unravel. If there is a troll, it will be singled out and reported easily. From 3+ up is the problem and have no solutions for that yet, sadly.
