Yes, because it's harassment. Alternatively you can just mute them.

You are mistaking the system for a word search.
The ML system reads your whole chat to determine whether you used your chat is a insulting and harassing manner. One word alone won't make the report valid.
Specific words are not reportable unless they are zero tolerance terms like "kys" and a few slurs.
What is reportable is overall behavior, and the system is fairly good at determining the difference between positive banter and negative flaming. In general, if you have to ask, dont.
stfu is far from something that would end up as a sudden ban. Sure it could be seen as something reportable but I've said it before and nothing came from it. However, if you continually say it across a match, and other things that are never acceptable such as "kys" then you could end up with something worse.
