LeaverBuster, and how to improve it.

Everybody hates games where a player intentionally leaves a game or AFK. But what about players that have to leave a game due to some unexpected situation? I believe that players like myself shouldn't have to sit out for 20 minutes for 5 games. That is utterly ridiculous. Due to it lasting 20 minutes, the queue time, and game length. Each game costs one whole hour. If a player tells their team they have to go in advance, and ask to surrender, if the team refuses to surrender and still fights an obvious losing game, that player shouldn't be punished. Some players even go with a full team of friends, those friends don't get mad at their friend that had to leave, and if they did, they wouldn't invite them anymore. Another thing, it would be better if people actually report the player if they had a problem with it. Thanks for reading, thanks a ton.

So here's the thing.

Everyone can leave a game once in a while. Emergencies happen. You have to go somewhere unexpectedly, or your power goes out. Whatever, it happens.

That's why LeaverBuster doesn't punish people for leaving one game. It only punishes people who leave a relatively high percentage of their games. What this means is, for LeaverBuster to take notice, you have to have a habit of leaving. LeaverBuster doesn't have to care why you're leaving, because by the time you've left so many games that it takes action, you've done something wrong--either queueing when you don't actually have enough time to play, or ignoring your real-life responsibilities, or playing on an unreliable network connection or power grid--whatever it is, fix it before you queue up again.

Hope this helps!

Like Mars Ragnarok said, in order to be punished by LeaverBuster you have to have a history of leaving and/or afking in games. You aren't punished for just one or two leaves or afks as emergencies and things outside of your control happen from time to time. That being said though however, it is your job and your responsibility to make sure that you have a little reasons to leave and/or afk as much as possible before queuing up for a game. If you refuse to do so and you get punished because of it, then that's your fault and not Riot's.
