The toxicity is getting out of hand

I will start by saying that the current punishment system doesn't work well...

I usually end up reporting at least 5 people per day depending on how many games I play. I always try to win even when it looks rough, never surrender unless there is literally no hope. So it's pretty painful to have people just sit in fountain and talk smack for the remaining 5-10 minutes of the game so they don't get afk warning.

This makes the experience less fun, which is why I always make sure to report these players after the match. I get a huge amount of satisfaction seeing the "Player Punished" pop-up, it helps me feel like I've made the community a better place and also that a toxic player has gotten what's come for them.

However... It has been quite a long time since I have last received this pop-up and have reported tons of 100% toxic players. Somewhere in there I even had a player say "I hope your mom dies of cancer." just because I was smashing them in lane. There were a couple "KYS"'s in some matches too.

So my question is... What gives?

I have heard of many occasions where players have gotten banned for much less than that so why are we allowing these hateful players to continue to be part of the community. Does it mean that these kinds of actions and statements are acceptable? This is the message that is being delivered when no action is taken.

it has always been this way and always will be this away

Despite what the tabula rasa utopianists decree, human nature lends itself to arguments in competitive situations .. it just happens

some people flip their shit.

In the past week I have reported people for repeatedly saying blatant racist things.

Having both racist names and clan titles

Bragging in chat about inting, afking, and intentionally losing games.

Riot does nothing! Riot is the sole reason why this game is as toxic and unplayable as it is today. Riot does not care about you or the state of the game. All they care about is people buying skins. As long as people keep doing they riot doesn’t give a damn how bad the product is.

As long as riot does nothing or even the bare minimum bs they are complicit and are endorsing this behavior. Riot is the pro level troll.

Those feedback reports are just meant to remind players that their reports do get looked at and acted upon. It is not meant to tell you everytime a specific punishment has been dealt, as other people's account status isnt any of your business (so I've read). I wish they would get rid of it, as people like you use it to come to ridiculous conclusions. (You take it as a message that their behavior is acceptable... come on...)
