Motivate reform

I got hit with a 14 day suspension, I belive it was fair, however I also found out because of the time of my suspension I will be unable to claim ranked rewards. When I first read that I can reclaim thoose rewards by reforming, riot had me right where they should want a player like me in that situation. I wanted to wait out the ban, work out some of the real life stuff that caused my behavior, the get back in the game and be as postive, nice, and helpful as possible to prove that I can am better and that I deserve those sweet sweet rewards. Upon further investigation I read the most heart breaking article ever, if your suspension happens three months or less before the end of the season you cant get the rewards. Now I still will avoid being toxic probably by just muting everyone, but im not motavated to go into the game and prove myself by being the best I can be. IMO leaving the door open motivates players to be better. Slaming it in their face just motivates not slipping up again. Riot please consider using the carrot instead of the stick. Much love <3

Just be warned, this is your last chance to reform and any slip ups, even if you think you're defending yourself and flame back will result in the perma.

I see so many people come to the PB and say how they got perma banned right after the two week ban. If you like your account, take reforming seriously.

I think their reasoning behind it is, when you see that you won't get rewards, it helps to deter toxicity in the first place, because they will know the risk is greater. After you've already been punished, you finally look up the consequences and now you're shit out of luck. Stay informed if you're the type to be toxic in a game that punishes heavily for toxicity.

Riot announced it when they implemented the policy. This isn't the first season they've done it so I'm not sure where the inconsistency is. To my recollection, this has happened for at least two seasons in a row. There's only so much Riot can do to put players on notice. They made articles that go on their main page and they've made forum announcements and the articles were in the client when you loaded the game.

The reason why Riot has the cut off time is because Tantram has said that on average, a person is on probation for 3 months after a punishment it takes them that long to prove they've reformed. Since the season ends in November, anyone who gets temp banned near the end of August will still be on probation by the end of November, which is the end of the season and thus ineligible for season rewards.

EDIT: basically you don't have enough time to prove to Riot that you've reformed for this season. You can still prove to them that you've reformed and should be eligible for next season's rewards.
