This is getting really out of hand.

What do people recommend when there are trolls in the game? MUTE AND REPORT.

Since when has this concept been lost to people? No matter how "good intentioned" it is to get into an arguement with someone, it is annoying for everyone to see an ongoing arguement. If you want to help someone tell them to mute the people and report them.

It is NOT ignoring the problem. It is taking the fuel from the fire and reducing the chances that you become one of them.

If someone does not have someone to bully, or to flame, or anything of the sort..... will they continue? No. They want an audience. They want to get you as upset as they can get you. They need someone to target.

Remove yourself and those who you are trying to protect and defend so that you nor they get caught in the crossfire.

The more you reply, the more you get. Doing this when you know that the situation is not getting any better, will mean you are purposefully trying to continue the situation.

Before there is any "oh but you cant just ignore real life bullies" attempts at trying to defend your claim that you should argue with them....

Bully tries to take your lunch money. No lunch money to be gotten because it is electronic. Bully finds someone else. If nobody has lunch money, they cant take any. Bully leaves people alone.

If a bully says "meet me after school unless you are chicken".... dont meet them. They try to do something? Tell teacher.

For those that claim reporting does nothing...... how many of you said some highly questionable things that could have gotten you punished but didnt? Think of your absolute worst game with your worst commentary.

Are you glad you were not punished? Well of course you were. Though you never thought about it. Plus, after getting a punishment, you have to be on your best behavior or it could get worse.

Think of your account that you spent time and potentially money on. After the first punishment, do you think you could avoid saying anything questionabley toxic in chat?

For most of you, it is likely a "oh yeah im sure i can!" Think of your past 100 games even. There is likely not many people that can honestly say that they have not said anything that is even remotely arguementative/toxic. I can for a while, but eventually a bit of steam pops out. Nothing too bad for the most part, but likely enough that when im being watched already, i could end up being upgraded a punishment tier or so.

Oh, I can produce a full on page of information and numbers if you'd like to see them. I've done extensive research on this months ago, and still have the data lying around somewhere in some PMs.

Also, the reason people are quitting because of the community is because it's toxic af, with no self-awareness. Full of too many "holier-than-thou" pretentious assholes, and douchebags galore. 20% of this community is toxic, at the very least.

But my point still stands. If you really wish to see the data I have collected, just let me know. I'm always willing to prove someone wrong. [slayer-jinx-wink]

Whilst I agree with what you said, I also don't agree with banning players for chat. It's far from ethical to ban someone from playing a game for being toxic in chat, no matter how extreme it is. If anything, give them a chat ban. It will also help them start taming their toxicity, because they won't be able to use chat at all.

Never in the history of gaming has there ever been a company(at least this popular) as strict and unjust as Riot is when it comes to suspending their playerbase. I mean, they can do what they like, it's their game, but their player count is dying, ever so slowly. Data has shown this over the course of the years. The longer the game goes on for, the less people will play it. This is just a basic fact with any video game.
