Hi everyone,

just as the title of this post mentioned my account got banned for using hacks, scripts and "3rd Party Program or Modifications". The link refers to the ticket, that I sent to discuss the matter with the Riot Games Support Team.

I explained that the only "modification" of my League of Legends Game was a program called "Yolomouse", which only function is to change the cursor in its appearance. In my case I used it to increase the size of the cursor, because it was appearing tiny on my screen.

I kept insisting that I am not aware of any errors on my side and after checking other threads about Riot Games policy about "3rd Party Program or Modifications" and checking another thread explicitly concerning "Yolomouse", I can't help to reach for help here, since "Battleready123" seems my case not worthy for further investigation.

(Mentioned threads: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/5dmkJinG-3rd-party-applicationsmodifications-whats-allowed-and-what-isnt https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/miscellaneous/5kx4F7VE-reminder-third-party-applications https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/58XipXE2-is-yolomouse-bannable )

At this point I am desperately hoping that sharing this case here would help me to clarify the situation a bit further, since I also spend a nearly 4 digit amount of money on my account and hope that it doesn't puff away for nothing.

If this post doesn't help me to clear my accusation or to point out the fact that I was never using any means to have an advantage over other players, then my fellow players, take it as a small warning not to use cursor modifying applications.

Thank you for your time-

In hope of help

Guhan

Everyone is acting like this person used hacks, they literally MADE THEIR CURSOR VISIBLE. Wow what hacks, makes the game so much easier, suuuuuch an advantage. Suuuuuuuch a big nono. Riot refuses to ban every person with the slightest hint of toxicity but pick out one single person that made their mouse cursor visible to them because it's the "slightest hack" and perma ban them? WHAT is this. Riot has some serious issues.

Typically third party bans are very very accurate and are done in waves. Did you purchase this account or did you use a boosting service?

I told people when they started using that, that it could warrant a ban. Nobody listens. It doesn't matter if it does something small like changes your mouse, or something huge like lands 100% of skillshots while dodging everything yourself. It's a third party program that changes things in the game, and no matter how minor, it is clearly outlined that this is against the TOS. You might not like to hear this, but it's true. You used a 3rd party modification that gives you an advantage over other people(even if its small like a cursor) Riot has the right to terminate your account if you use third party software so that is what they did. I am sorry for your loss, if you ever play again do not do anything to the client that might make it terminable, and if you want something so bad check with riot first before you install it

I highly doubt you were actually permabanned for yolomouse. It's not a nefarious program any more than overwolf or a HUD overlay. It shouldn't be modifying game files.

And MY use for yolomouse is to increase cursor size at high resolutions. This is not an advantage in any way besides allowing me to have pretty graphics rather than play on low resulotion to see my cursor.

If riot doesn't want people doing this they should fix their fucking scaling, cause nobody has a 1440x900 display anymore. And I still have no way to improve the terrible minimap scaling, but did find a way to increase minimap size past 100% in the .json file.

Also I haven't been banned so far, and I don't expect to be, cause it doesn't provide a GAMEPLAY advantage.

Here are the Facts:

It's been a few years now, and Riot still hasn't fixed the 4k cursor... However, Riot did introduce an in-game slider to adjust your mouse size... Only problem is, your mouse is still microscopic with the slider maxed in 4k resolution.

To argue that Yolomouse gives players an advantage, is simply false. The fact that Riot lets you change your cursor size in- game, proves that this does not give players an advantage. Having sight of something you are supposed to see, is not an advantage.

Yolomouse is the equivalent to wearing eyeglasses, as it allows the player to regain sight of the cursor in a 4k world. If you don't know how Eyeglasses work, let me assure you, people that wear them are not gaining an advantage over others. The only advantage gained would be that your sight is restored to normal.

Honestly, all riot needs to do is extend the in-game cursor size slider from 1-100 to 1-200.

Problem Solved.

Are you sure Yolomouse is all you were using. I see tons of threads with people using it and you're the only person that's ever claimed to been banned.

also that link will not work for us only for you as it is your ticket

Does yolomouse have any other potential features?

Merely changing the appearance/magnitude of the cursor doesn't sound nefarious.

If it accomplishes the task of changing the cursor by modifying in-use game files, it makes sense to trigger the 3rd party detection system.

Many of the forum goers are very suspicious of 3rd party users. So, there could be the idea that you used yolomouse and another one (that modifies the same files) to try to trick the detection system into thinking you only had yolomouse at work.

I do not have much experience with how 3rd party bans are applied, investigated, or contested. Normally, I would advise making a ticket, but with that part already accomplished, I have nothing to add. Sorry.

Pretty sure you are changing the game files to do it. So yea, bannable.
