Okay Riot, for the past few weeks I have been lagging to the point of getting disconnected. I made sure that it wasn't my internet so the only other thing i could think of is your server. Due to this constant disconnection I have been getting leaver buster warnings and low priority queues. I understand that this could be my fault or my internet provider problems and I do admit i have gone AFK before but I am highly sure that this isn't the case to the back to back warnings. The other problem is the penalties that come from being "AFK". It starts with minor things such as a 5 min wait to 10 min to 20 min. What I can't stand is the fact that making people wait longer for their games is the "perfect" way to solve AFK problems. Lets say someone barely has enough time in a day to play a game and they somehow got a low priority queue, what in the world makes you think they have enough time to wait an extra 10 to 20 minutes just to play one game when they barely have time or a single game? It's absurd. I'd rather be banned for a full day than have 5 games of low priority queue. Not only is it an excruciating experience it also lessens the amount you can play. I would HIGHLY suggest that you change the penalties of being AFK.

Well, what you've described is pretty much the point behind why Low Priority Queue is the punishment for LeaverBuster penalties. It is meant to be something so unpleasant that players would actively try to avoid having to deal with it; i.e. they would actively try to avoid leaving/afking in matches. If it wasn't so unpleasant, it wouldn't deter anyone from leaving/afking in games. If the punishments stayed at 5 minutes, or even 10 minutes, many players wouldn't think twice about leaving matches. But putting a 20 minute LPQ penalty does make many people irritated, and they will try to keep from having to deal with it again. Which keeps the other players in their matches from having to deal with a 4v5 after they afk/leave.

It lessens the amount of times you can play? You mean afk and mess up the game for your 4 other teammates? Yea, right.

just because I live in Canada which has the worst internet in the world and once experienced disconnect in a rank game, then every queue I suffer a penalty? Now I have to wait 5 mins before a queue. Is that everyone disconnect to server in teachnical reason deserve a penalty?

so I have been lagging lately in games which means I really cant do anything :/ so I decided to just afk because I would have just given the enemy free kills so I was afk a few games when I got the problem fixed whit my internet I logged in and tried to go in a game but I was in the low priority que I played a few games whit it and its still there so how long does it take to go away? and I would myself suggest some other penalties too

I have had worse experiences with this "afk penalty" crap. What happens if someone needs to take a leak and they come back to find that they've been placed in a low-priority queue? What then, huh? This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm under a ban as I write this message and I can tell you, it AIN'T pleasant. I'm really sick of this. So sick of it that I might actually consider going back to Fortnite. Do they give match penalties for leaving during a duos or squads game? No, no they don't. Think about that Riot.

The problem is that disconnections are very easy to fake, and so showing leniency to DC's and not AFK, makes the rule very easy to manipulate.

so i havent played in about 2 years because i didnt have a computer again till recently. now that i do i decided i would try to play again and got started with some arams. there was one earlier today where i flat out left because i had a IRL issues to resolve, but coming back tonight i log on to the afk penalty. its 20 mins right off the bat, no warning, no 10 min or 5 min penalty, straight to 20 mins. now im not going to just sit idly in front my comp waiting out that limiter, so i end up starting a game of hearth or whatnot and eventually miss the que pop or lose interest entirely. so if i can't even get into a game because of a 20 min wait it doesn't count against the "5 games in low priority" and i will permanently have this ban, which basically means im not going to play league ever again and will end up uninstalling it.... so if that's the point of the leaver penalty GJ riot.

Well, wut happens to those that are playing and their pc crashes? They didn’t intend to leave but now they are being punished for something they never intended to do!! It’s a flawed system... Is there anyway to resolve that? I mean, my pc crashed and now I’m being punished as if I left the game and went AFK!!

This still happens me, i literally never have went afk before but i still get kicked sometimes while im in loading screen and then get the message i was placed in low prio que, i dont understand this??

Penalties should be more severe, no matter is server related or a personal decision. If your internet is not reliable don t play ranked. I played hundreds of games and almost never AFK, because I play when it s safe. If I am expecting some call, or some people, I simply don t play. But in my last 5 games this weekend I had 3 games wits AFK players on my side - rage quits mostly - so I lost LP and thanks to the RIOT's brilliant logic I was penalized with even more points . This is very frustrating. I understand, sometimes the AFK player is on the other team, but this is totally random ... and not evenly distributed. I might loose 7 games because AFK and win 2-3, and my case this totally true.
