Toxic Players Rant

Okay so im a former league player (been out of the game about two years, only got back into it to reconnect with some of my friends who play the game and encourage myself to stay inside more so hopefully i study more) and i cant get over the amount of toxic kids in literally almost every game i play, i come onto this videogame to have fun and relieve a bit of stress not to be verbally abused by some kid who thinks theyre destined to be the next esports legend. i literally just had two games just there in one where im autofilled adc and my only decent adc was banned and so i mention in advance to my team mates that im not likely to do well as one im rusty af and two im in an unfamiliar role on an unfamiliar champion, this was met with my support opening lane 5 mins in sitting in fountain and only engaging with me to tell me that im the one who should afk before first blood was even drawn?? i had another game after playing talon where i forgot how the new kit worked (being an ex talon main) and was surprised when i used my q to be following a leblanc under tower, this again was meant with verbal abuse from literally 3 players on my team calling me useless despite it being a normal queue game where i would have assumed people should be going to try out new things and enjoy themselves as opposed to ranked where everyone is competing and i understand frustration can build, i dont really know why im making this post i guess i just want to know that im not the only one who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous and that this community is nothing but toxic and unwelcoming to new/returning players and that riot seriously needs to address this issue, the punishment system is garbage and achieves nothing, they are literally providing a platform for people to harass eachother and nothing is being done about it
