Tutorial on how to stop being toxic

Hey guys, lately I've been playing some ranked games and the majority the people I get matched with are overly toxic. Now I don't seem to care that much but I see that alot of my teammates get into a discussion that makes them tilt or even worse - go afk.

Now Here I'm gonna list a few tips to help you detox. These are pretty easy and helped me cooldown alot.

  • Ignoring

This is definitely a great one. Don't even acknowledge them.

  • Muting

If you notice you are still getting triggered. Just mute them. Its as easy as that. (Thank god you can mute pings as well, thanks riot).

  • Its only a game.

If they are trolling you, remember that its just a game and you can just go on to the next one. Just remember to report them after the game (I sometimes forget to do this because you just want to leave that bad place you were stuck in.)

  • Take a deep breath and focus on your gameplay.

This is a pretty trick one at times. When things go bad, you start tilting and you make big mistakes. Just relax and take a deep breath and try to maximize your input in the game and focus on yourself and how you can become better and make better macro plays.

These are just a few tips I use. If you guys have some, definitely comment them so we can all see your techniques!

It's human nature that when things don't go a persons way to get frustrated.

Most toxicity is enabled by RIOT in how they have things set up.

Players WHO DON'T CARE and trolls cause all the toxicity. I really could give two shits if you want to argue this because I won't. Toxicity stems from these two sets of players regardless if someone responds in a toxic manner or not, it still originates with these two players.

There is a lot RIOT can do but they choose to adapt this horseshit automatic system instead rather than give the player base options like disabling their chat if they choose to do so. This would be a very simple tool that could help a lot of people if they choose to do it.

Toxicity has been around since the inception of online gaming and will always be here. Those genius developers are afraid to actually do shit about it because it may screw with their bottom line, which is to make money. They could give a shit about the health of the playing environment. Sure they will look like they are doing something about it but it's never enough because they are scared little boys and girls to actually take a risk. That is the cancer that is Capitalism.

Ignoring

Not when your ADC is 0/12

Muting

Not when your ADC is 0/14

It's only a game

Not when you're actually, literally playing Ranked for the sole purpose of climbing

Focus on your gameplay

Doesn't prevent the 0/16 ADC from disconnecting
