Well that's just fantastic!
I had two placement matches to go, and I've been sitting on them for months ..
Playing ranked sucks imo, and I didn't really care if I finished placing this season at all.
Today I figured, what the hell, why not
Game 1 of 2 was a win. Game 2 looked like it wasn't going well. I wanted Warwick but the other jungler got him first. So i decided to go with Kha. We were losing, but the game was still in throw range and I was scaling.
AND MY INTERNET DIED!
I don't mean I DC'd for a few minutes .. i mean my Internet is STILL OUT. Im posting this from my phone.
The match is already over. We lost, not surprisingly, and yea it is my fault. Im sure I got reported. I would have reported me. And I am not disputing the report.
It just really sucks because I couldn't do anything about it. I understand that this is my responsibility, and if I commonly had connection issues I shouldn't be playing.
Im just venting I guess. I don't think this should result in any punishment because, as I said, this isn't a common issue,.. but could this have happened LITERALLY ANY OTHER TIME?
I ended up Silver IV, which is funny because the only other time i placed i got Silver IV in S6.
Edit: I spoke with my ISP and there was an outage in the area "due to inclimate weather" .. It is lightly snowing today, so I don't know how that could be the issue, but maybe someone slid into a utility box or something, .. either way. Nothing I could have done.
Edit 2: The Internet is back on. I watched the match. I feel so bad because it absolutely looks like I ragequit. I remember that my team had just pinged me saying "what is the jungler doing" when I went top lane to stop our tower from falling. It was at 1% and if I hadn't been there it would have dropped and another 2 waves probably would have made it to the next tower. Then when I regrouped mid the enemy team finally pressured our outer mid down and we were retreating under the inner. JUST BEFORE I DIED was when my Internet dropped, and of course it was in the middle of an engagement so I ended up getting killed and the announcer said I left the game.
I can only imagine what they were saying in chat [sg-ahri-1]
