This is not to be dicky but I would like to know one thing

previously mentioned, by you guys " Its not a paid position, we have no legitimate association with "Riot" games, and we are just Volunteers"

that being the case, then why do you maintain boards? what are you even getting out of this if its not pay or any kind of special perks? its more of " but why though?"

lol why do you even put up with all the bs

cause what I get is entertainment and laughter mostly from the perma ban section of players crying about it< but why do you guys bother with all of it?

I'm not any of those you call out, but I have moderated for a couple of forum. I can tell you that I did it purely for the love of the forum. I get absolutely nothing out of it and I have to spend a lot more time than a regular forum users (not to mention taking abuse). But if you frequent a board or forum long enough, you'd want it to be a nice clean little place you can open after a long day of work to read about things you love. What better way to have it than to be given the power to clean it?

Hey,

Sorry for not having gotten back to you on that. I only had boring answers to that question. But yea, I suppose providing a benefit to the community is why I do this. On the PB board, I hope providing some players with knowledge and feedback eventually affects what we see in game.

When I was a part of the team, it was legitimately just because I had the time and because I figured it was pretty simple to have some extra buttons and use them infrequently.

Why does anyone volunteer anywhere? Who needs to get something out of it, other than using your free time for something beneficial?

'cause I like the League community, and because, frankly, I'm pretty good at handling problematic situations when they arise. It's honestly that simple.

Probably because they care about the community.

I moderate several boards and IRL social groups and they're all volunteer positions. I do it because I care about the people in the group. I plan events and get in touch with various gaming companies for swag to give away during some events. I don't keep any of it unless it's like door prizes that are given to everyone who attend. It's about the community being important to me, not getting something out of the group or gaming companies. Even when I go to events like PAX, I end up giving away skin codes and download codes to members of my group. It's fun for people and it's satisfying to provide a safe environment and maintain a social group where a bunch of us can hang out, chat, and play games together.
