I ran into an Islamophic Rioter who banned me for a misunderstanding on my name.

EDIT: I understand how my name can be confused as offensive, my problem is the Islamophic thought process to get there as explained below. I have explained in my support ticket I was more than willing to change my name OR EVEN PAY FOR IT MYSELF. My issue is the fact the Rioter manually banned me for 2 weeks due to my name and would not over turn the ban even after I explained the meaning behind my name, sent him pay check stubs, my full name, my badge number, and the city I work in as a Police Officer, making it very obvious the 911 references "Nine One One" as in the emergency response number in the US.

Hi there, I just want to start by saying I do not appreciate my previous support staffs bigoted comments towards me for being a Muslim as well as their inability to hear my side of the story. They also closed my ticket because "I have no further questions" while asking them questions with every reply and offering multiple times for proof that I am a cop, including employment paperwork or badge number, my city, name, and my Mosque I attend. They passive aggressively said they do not care.

So I just want to start by saying my name is NOT meant to be offensive. I have sent previous tickets in (which you can hopefully see, if not I can attach them) back in 2017 AND 2018 where the rioters who saw my name and even replied "Hello 911 for Allah". If my name was so offensive why did those 2-3 Rioters who personally assist me before not ban me for my name or flag it for rename? It is because 99.9% of Americans read 911 as Nine One One. Just like in the TV Show "Reno 911" people do not read it as Reno nine eleven. Dates are usually not read as dates unless they are separated by a "/ or -". My name is to reflect who I am personally like most peoples summoners names. I have been a police officer for almost 10 years now in EDITED Texas. My name is EDITED and I am a sergeant for the force. My badge number is EDITED. I am a practicing Muslim and I can provide my local Mosque leadership contact information if you feel like verifying I go there if needed. My name is a personal reflection of my everyday life which is being a police officer for Allah. I also sent proof of employment to the Rioter. I just want my account unbanned and back because I have not done anything wrong. I personally see the assumption of 911 being read as nine eleven instead of nine one one like most Americans read it is very Islamophobic from the previous Rioter who manually banned me for my name. It is wrong to assume because I have Allah's great name in my summoner name that it was nine eleven. I find this very disturbing behavior on Riot Games end, because Riot Games is normally very "woke" and culturally accepting of others from their LCS broadcasting to their staffers on Reddit. I find it even more disturbing that I feel targeted for being Muslim when Riot Games is owned by Tencent which is a Chinese company with deep ties to the Chinese Regime who oppresses and put my fellow Muslims in concentration camps right now. With the current political climate in China, I cannot see this as a simple coincidence even though I want to. If you need me to send any further proof to verify my identity I would be more than glad to. I am most sad about receiving a 2 week ban without even giving me the chance to rename. I would have been more than glad to have this discussion if I was flagged for rename and clarify, but the fact I was banned for it ontop of being flagged for rename I feel as being targeted since I am Muslim.

The edited was to edit my name out of the 2nd ticket I sent in to Riot. I have also edited a few other parts to address the forum vs a riot employee. The Rioter replied that they have no arguments with me and agree with me, but will not overturn the ban since it was from another Rioter. I find this very silly.

For falsifying information and consistently attempting to mislead folks, I'm closing this thread and permanently suspending your Boards account.

Cheers.

I mean...............

I don't care what your name is supposed to be, it is EXTREMELY easy to see why a name like "911 For Allah" is gonna run into issues with a Rioter.

The same reasons no one cares if you typing in chat of "kys" is supposed to mean "kick your snickers", of if your "KKK" clantag is supposed to mean "kitchen knives kicksass" or whatever.

Just don't.

.........

Also China's supposed concentration camp of Muslims is just about them setting up deradicalisation rehabilitation centers in Xinjiang that has long been troubled by extremists movements.

There is a reason why the supposed "concentration camps of Muslims" is only condemned by western nations and actually applauded by other Muslim majority (or at least Muslim substantial) nations, including but not limited to, Nigeria, Egypt, UAE, Pakistan, etc (though personally I'm really not a big fan of Saudi Arabia who is also one of the nations on this list, but whatever).

Ofc, I'm simplifying quite a bit but the point is that it probably goes deeper than what meets the eyes. It's just some good o' politics at work.

Yeah your name sucks. Who cares what you mean by it.

I'm not sure how much success you will have. To some extent the acceptability of names is not based just on the user who created them, but also how the community will perceive them. I'm going to take the above rationale for the name at face value (as I don't know you enough to doubt you), and in that context it does make sense, yes -- but other players do not see that context, and if the name is suitable close to something offensive (and it is a reasonable interpretation of the name) Riot does have the right to adjust it, frustrating though that may be for you.

Definitely send in another ticket if you want, but I wouldn't get your hopes too high. While I know you may personally believe it is bigoted to read 911 in any other way, it is, ultimately, a connection many people will make simply because of the myriad of ways that connection has been made on the internet already (including, yes, ways similar to the way you present it here, using 911 instead of 9/11).

First of all, your name is fucking offensive no matter how you want to slice it. And you're playing on NA? Yeah, not gonna fly. "Reno 911" doesn't have the negative connotation of the worst terrorist attack ever perpetrated against our country.

Even if you're not lying about this whole shitshow (which you definitely are), the name is still in poor taste. It's Riot's game and they can make you change your name any time they want.

I just want to start by saying I do not appreciate my previous support staffs bigoted comments towards me for being a Muslim

Guaranteed a Rioter never made any bigoted comments regarding your religion. If they did, post screenshots of the support tickets and I'll be the first one to agree that they should go fuck themselves.

Why did it even need to be 911? It isnt a reference and you could have made your name "Dial 911 for Allah" or a different number entirely to make it clear.

I really have no sympathy for you because the reference to the event is very easy to make that you should have known better
